Indians are very intelectuals, but the other side is that we Indians are born fools. We are fooled & then ruled by so called Gora's for so long. Now that the recession time has come and these Westerners are left without money, they are eying on India. Just for example if you see the money made by these Foreign companies from this film is tremendous. What we got is an average film to see, but with this they have covered their losses in other films at the cost of WE INDIANS.
Just imagine, if this film was not in Oscars, would any Indian watch this ceremony so interestingly. If we dont watch how they will get TV rights....
Again they fooled WE INDIANS and taken a lot of money from India (so called growing economy).

exactly,well said saju,yashraj makes indian movies but they are mostly shot abroad,and we seem to go OMG on sharu_kh and the rest.wake up and smell the coffee,they have not created dharavi and the slums,they have shot on the location as it is.as much as we want to deny it,majority of our country is in slums or BPL.

You are right. Foreigners insulted us for poverty in India as a realty show. Politicians should remove all slums and everyone belongs to the film and oscar lobbying circle is minting money as Poverty of India is exposed Globally.Every foreigner will laugh India as a developed Slum. Human Miseries are not Mysteries for making huge money by exposing in a nasty way. See the title: Slum dog- Are the dogs are associated with slums only? What about the dogs associated with rich and wealthy sections? Indian Poverty, Day dreaming, Vandalism, Harassment against women and Children are taken granted.

On the dot, Saugata. If Slumdog can win 1, then Rang de basanti should have won 2, Lagaan 3, Salaam Bombay 5 and Pather Panchali 1000. If Jai Ho can win 1, then Roza should have won 2, Bombay 3, Rangeela 5 and Aandhi 2000. Hollywood is catching up with Bollywood and Academy Awards are catching up with Filmfare Awards.
