Amitabh Bachhan earned 24 acre plot at Lonavala
with the help of his brothers Amar & Mulayam Singhs. Mulayam made him a "farmer" to make him eligible to purchase the land. Same way Anil Ambani done this with the help of this "brothers". Anyway Mayawati is in action. Just wait and see.

Decision to scrap Ambani's proposal in UP
by Shridhar Iyer on May 24, 2007 03:55 PM  | Hide replies

If the decision to scrap the proposal to allot land for Ambani's project is taken on merit, it is a good decision. However if it is based on 'witch-hunt' then it is wrong. It will only send a wrong message to the possible investors in the country. WE have seen in many States that the new Govt tend to review all the decsions taken by the previous Govt on the basis of 'witch-hunt' which is wrong. Already we don't have many industries in the State. If we scrap proposals for investment like this due to 'witch-hunt' no body will like to risk investment in the State. This will only end up generating more and more unemployment in the State, and the youth and employable will be forced to migrate to Delhi, Mumbai in serach of jobs/employment opportunities.

With best wishes,
V.Srinivasan.

i am not in politics nor do i understand SEZ is all about.
big companies have money power.they should buy the land and not the govt.its them who are going to make money and give peanuts to govt.
if its not witch hunt then its a right move in a right direction.
we in goa have electronic city with only few electronics companies.a big misuse of the land alloted.

Government job is to Govern and they should not interfere in business and who got what under whom.If the previous government had done their job fairly then all is OK.Govt.job is to implement the law and see that it is the same for all including themselves.

Political nexus
by pradeep kumar on May 24, 2007 03:55 PM  | Hide replies

This is not new phenomena in India. Since the time of Indira Gandhi political revenge is the norm of the country's development. The other part ruled states alway felt the burn . Right now look the case of cricketer Maninder Singh drug case. Some heavyweight or political chmcha of ruling part have conspired against the cricketer.who was said something about the working of BCCI.And whole story were concocted and he is being victimized.

He is not being victimised and has got bail but he is guilty of using drugs never the less.
Even if somebody is after him as you say does that absolve him of using drugs ?
