thats why , i have questioned! when, india is a secular country, all r equal! why reservation in name of caste? today, brhamins r mostly affected and they r facing maximum deprivation! so, u r following the same cycle, if earlier brhamins have exploited so called lower caste!! where is the change of society? now, brhamins r becoming lower caste! so, is it not the revenge on us what was not done by us but may be foreparents! why it shud be dragged?
if we talk for a secular society, then why can't we abolish all these reservations which r actually deviding the people that is showing u r from this caste! it is creating jealousy and unbalance where merit has no value!
i am against any reservation except economic(only as stipend for education) & disabled person(for job)!

cencus on caste base shud not be objected when it is already existing and keeping us remembering in name of reservation! so, in this argument, when u r giving reservation on percentage, then on what basis , u have accounted it? u will have to go through the head count to know their actual status! and also, if there is schemem for development, we shud know how much so called downtrodden! my point is here, we r not objecting the cause but we r objecting the sub cause which the main cause only created! this is pseudoism! so, before objecting cencus, rediff shud campaign against reservation!

Indians are biggest Hypocrites. They want everything for free. Strongly wish Military takes over running this country. Sonia mata will divide this country to remain in power.
This is despicable act perpetuated by power hungry politicians who have lost their mass appeal and are trying to find a new way to get back to limelight. All patriotic citizens should vehemently oppose this retrograde move by the spineless government.
The sensus should be income based and Caste based, to know the exact truth of how many higher income SC/ST people are benefitting from the caste system. The reservation came in to upbring the lower caste people. Now the lower caste themselves are the hurdle to the lower castes even though they are economically superior.

What you said migth be true but certainly the data would be used otherwise. You know and and so do i. There is no point doing and as rightly mentioned by Samir Chatterjee that what about the word "EQUALITY" mentioned in our constitution. Are we striving towards making everyone equal or are we doing the contrary to serve selfish ulterior motives??
When the caste is not required to be declared while joining Arm force services why it is required for other Govt.schemes and services ?
When there are no reservations in the Army ,Navy or Air Force for promotions or galantry awards and castism is outdated in Armed FOrces why the Govt. and Judiciary is giving it importance ? Why both of them are bent for its revival ? When there is no discrimination in the Army why it should happen in the other Govt. departments ? Is our Armed Force are not capable,efficient where caste is not a must ? Contarary, it is the most uncorrupt,efficient and patriotic wing of the Govt. machinery. Why not follow them and their parctises for the entire nation ? The answer is political raskals and elections and vote banks. The vary things missing in the Armed Forces.
ts a shame that we still are hooked to such petty things. More was the surprise when the directive came from the high court. I feel terribly sad on this and indeed shakes my patriotism towards a country that is ruled and governed by people who lack foresight and criminals.
may I ask to our Honerable Prime Minister that how long this divide and rule policy wikk contine in our country?Is our Independence was received on caste basis? Where is equality for each citizen as mentioned in our Sambidhan?It is better to make reservation for each cast/subcaste according to their population in compare to total population of the country so that in other way we can restrict undue population growth for each caste to get maximum reservation benefits and no body will ask for undue reservation for their caste .
Mere removing caste column from census will not help in any way. Th every caste system is imbibed in India and its religion and culture. Let's fight against them in real world. If we succeed, then caste column in census will go way by itself. Hoping a better India!
