First off all if you think you will be attacked then do not go to any other country and litter yourself.
Secondly......try practicing the below mentioned.
Make sure your under arms are cleaned and use deodorant.
Make sure you wear clean and washed clothes. stop wearing the same thing for weeks together.
Do not speak english like you are speaking hindi or tamil or bengali or punjabi.
Yes learn to be more courteous and polite and thoughtful.
After having food make sure you wash your hands with soap so that you dont go around with obnoxious smell.
Leave your traditions and culture at home.
stop looking at people especially women like you have never seen one before.

night is always risky anywhere
by franklin wilson on Jan 03, 2014 01:16 AM

Late nights are always risky no matter where you live. If you are traveling, it's advisable to hire a taxi or buy a second hand car. Do not walk alone late night. All sorts of anti social elements wonder the streets. Racism is quite prevalent in the west, but that does not mean you life and liberty is lesser to anyone else. The courts in the west are just, fair and swift. You are sure to get justice if you have been wronged

Indians are
by shitij kumar on Jan 02, 2014 01:35 PM

Heres what is so special about them

staring at you

leaving underground taxi drivers life not at all in mainstream

add security to it as well hangng around in packs and looking at others like they are comitting a crime ..

I am an Aussie Indian too but they way they wiull look at my cars my family i just loose faith in them

ofcourse there are exceptions..byt personally i'd rather Australia implement interviews to allow the right people through.. They still don't realise there is huge diff between civilised and uncivilised

They still don;t realise there's a difference between religions directly.

stray incidents are reported
by brian crasto on Jan 02, 2014 01:19 PM  | Hide replies

The general attitude of indians are to brag in india, maybe the same attitude they show in developed countires. Just be normal human beings without air. Mugging rapes, murders are the norms of the day in India. See the recent rape and murder in Kolkata. No one even laments over the poor girl

Dont Try for the Easy Way (OZ,UK) - Try for the Best Way

Dont Try for the Easy Way (OZ,UK) - Try for the Best Way

US is always better and safer for desis , but these people who go to UK and OZ deny this by saying british and aussies are friendly and that americans are racist.

The truth is, Americans are mostly very nice to Indians.

People with dubious educational backgrounds and people lazy or fearful of GRE and GMAT go to these colleges of Australia and UK inspite of the local peoples racist attitude. For applying to US, the applicant also needs to do a lot of work, in the case of UK and AUstralia, the educational consultants take care of everything. This lazy way of going abroad makes these students to look at only these easy options.

They then go to these countries and say they are studying in those countries because they love Aussies and British more than Americans. All this inspite of knowing that Financial Aid options are better in the US, dont mind spending parents money in OZ and UK because they love the easy and lazy way to get a foreign degree in UK and Australia.

Finally what happens? Working overtime for low pays, Being Butt of Racist Attacks,Poor financial Aid. All because you wanted to take the lazy and easy way out. Im sorry if I offended the sentiments of anyone.
