Don't be fooled by University Marketers & PR sellers
by Whiteman on Jun 01, 2009 12:05 PM  | Hide replies

Fiona & Psuedo, I know you both have some relatives migrated to Oz. As long as they are in technical jobs welder, electrician nothing to worry. You will face wrath of the whites only on high paid jobs where you compete with them. But I hope Indians do select other lucrative places in the world like even china-shanghai which is a better place to earn a well paid world recognised degree, rather than australian degree that has no value. Its really a billion dollar scam of Oz universities to lure innocent asians, luring them with PR etc. and making them work on night shifts for cleaning, washing etc. thats a fact & i see it everyday. Indians, please realise that India is an amazing country today with lots of opportunity. If you certainly need foreign degree or foreign citizenship, please make a choice of country where u can live with self respect & earn more and be happy. Whats the use of dying as every day after investing millions in a degree & citizenship. Opportunities are everywhere. Please do not be fooled by University bodies who do the job of promoting their business hook/crook and agencies who promote citizenship. This is a billion dollar scam involving heavy weight politicians on either side i.e India as well as Australia. All are after your money, once you pay them...you are gone..Dreams turn sour and you end up poorer en miserable in life then ever.

AP: Since in your opinion, these Melbourne attacks were not Racist, Reports in IANS, My own experience during my visit to the country and flying their airline are contrary to your belief.

Could you please tell me why is Rediff for instance hell bent on posting threads after threads where writers( Indian and now Aussie citizens) who say that they have gone thru. Racist attacks some where down the years and have given a long list of do 's and dont's. I think I will believe you and say that either Rediff has cooked up a yarn to fool me into cursing a superb country.
Can you please explain.

AP: Thanks for this. I am all for these investigations to conclude and come up with a concrete theory on to why Indians are the ones who are targeted by this so called victims of the recent global economic turmoil.
I believe in the law of the land and am sure it will deliver justice to the Indian Lambs. Moresoever, I agree with you that Aussie justice will deliver must faster then our own Desi system.

All I was pointing out was the reality that Australia is a multi-cultural society.... there is no such thing as an "Australian" (except for a very small percentage perhaps of the classic definition)..
Your average Australian comes from Bangalore, from Mumbai, from Shangahi, from Hong Kong, from Vietnam, from Thailand, from Lebanon, from Greece, from Poland,.... from wherever... and yes from Britain too...

So what I fail to understand in this whole spirited debate is "who is attacking whom" and "who is racist"?

There certainly are crimes and criminals... and in this era of global crisis, its on the up more than you'd have wished it to be...

Today (or rather last night) there was another stabbing in a Sydney suburb.... is anyone talking about it here?.... No... Why?.... coz the victim was an "Australian"... i.e. non-Indian...

So I dunno what's happening here ... trying to paint the picture as if those innocent lambs of Indian students are being led to their death in this savage country of blood thirsty criminals or something....

I am just trying to stay away from that methodical madness.... let the investigations happen.... let something come out of it.... and THEN lets comment....

Bad impression for Australia in the world.....
by Santosh Waghmare on Jun 01, 2009 11:59 AM

This is really serious and sensative issue for the India and the Australia. The recent incident can make bad impression in the world for Australia. The recent incident could make effect on Indian and Australian relations. I think, some communitiies are activate against foreign peoples in Australia. They are trying expand his community through drugs and alcohol in Australian youth. It could possible, Australian people are upset on Australian government for foreign affairs issues. Australian government have to give confidence to people for foreign strategy.

biharis are treated the same in some places in india.
by riti jyoti on Jun 01, 2009 11:28 AM  | Hide replies

Few tips to biharis who are subjects of ridicule in metroes. remember, biharis are treated the same as indians are in some of these countries. follow these rules till bihar improves and offers u something to come back. being rediculed by ur own countrymen is worse that facing it in a foreign land.
1. Avoid speaking in bihari accent in public places. This annoys the people and leads to a negative impression about bihari mentality
2. Try to use khari Hindi, marathi or punjabi depending on where u r. or better still improve ur spoken english
3. Be polite while asking for something
4. remember u r at these places because ur state is backward and doesn't offer any jobs.
5. Do not react to negative comments
6. Stay away from mobs and crowds of youngsters
7. Do not visit pubs and night clubs

Second Class white citizens the troublemakers
by Whiteman on Jun 01, 2009 11:20 AM  | Hide replies

Australia has 4 specific visible human classes. First the former british, who still rule as whites in the government (most politicians, sportsmen from this class). Second the british whites who have been traditionally criminals. These are genetically the white criminals of UK and the other british colonies taken to australia as labour for punishment or reform. These are basically the trouble maker families with absolute maniacal genetic disorders. You may find these whites languishing yet in jails across the world, specifically asia as habitual drug traffickers, human traffickers & sex offenders. Third the Aborigines are limited to perth as the original australian inhabitants and last the expat race-asians in big number that now do business in hotels, groceries and fuel stations. The politically strong whites who do farming & mining, have rather not done enough to reform the second class whites that are the trouble makers. In fact you can find these whites hanging around in Bali, Dubai, Sydney, Goa, Macau, Florida, Hawaii & the bahamas on drug money, prostitution and all illegal business activities. Its not known why the australian government has not cracked upon these second class whites & taken steps to educationally reform them. Politically these second class whites are a major vote bank as a backward class and hence all successive govts in australia have refrained from strong action.

well, either u havent been in oz or are trying very hard to prove you're not there! indians are among the most simple dressed or gadgetted ppl in oz! yet they get attacked for thier "gadgets" think about it, of these youths who were attacked, how many were robbed?
2 were atatcked in a party with 20 other plp in it
one in a train, but robbery was not the motive
one was attacked in the house, robbery was not the motive as the thief was never inside the house apparently!
care to elaborate?
and then when the police comes out with such statements it feels like 2 2=5!! tell me if i'm wrong!

Blame our own govt. for these attacks.
by IndiaforIndics on Jun 01, 2009 11:13 AM  | Hide replies

60 years of our Independence, we have become the 4th largest economy in the world and our government cannot empower education in India. The existing universities are crying for help but they are given QUOTA SYSTEMS, lesser money and are compelled to DIVIDE STUDENTS ON CASTE BASIS.

This means the education cess collected by the Manmohan Singh government has gone down the drain, why werent existing universities empowered with money and staff, why wasnt the quality of education improved then, why did not the government refuse to allow any kind of discrimination ( caste based quotas) in education then.

The answer is this government wants Foreign universities to set up shop in India, Kapil Sibal the new Minister has already made his government's diabolical plan open to the public.

These foreign universities will CANNOT BE MONITERED BY ANY INDIAN AUTHORITY and god only knows what hate, venom they will preach to convert more people to their religions.

We have to stop this, EDUCATION IS GOD it must be im partial for everybody all citizens of our gr8 lands.

Empower our own local knowledge, talent rather then playing fool and bring in Foreign universities.

It is my firm belief, that the government is compelling parents to send their wards off to distant countries for education as the govt. is not opening quality institutes in India.

This is very dangerous to India.

However, this brings forth another disturbing fact, that Racists attacks/slurs do happen in Australia.

It is natural. Dont expect them to treat u nicely. If they do, treat it as their goodness. Think how you treat african blacks and whites? Whats ur attitude towards British ?

I treat anybody with respect, In my university I had many African, Iranians( I loath Musl1ms though) and students of other nationality's. I always respected their culture, beliefs etc.

Being a H1ndu, this is natural for me to do. I have a good solid culture, an ancient civilization to guide me to being a good human being.

I have always helped everybody who came for help at my time at the University, I had good academical record and I helped others with it and have also assisted many with finances.

Christian world can never understand this.

AP: Aman Kachroo was murdered in Himachal Pradesh by nincompoops who think that they can bully their way on being SENIORS, basically they are cowards.
I propose a strong policy against RAGGING IN OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.
Any ragger must be locked up for 25 years and must be socially ostracized.

AP: My ex lives in Australia and I firmly believe in what she wrote to me. Discrimination in Australia is there for good, it will never go.
The religious angle is an opinion shared by many.

Aussie Police dint even register a case, it was after our media caught up and their media highlighted it, they registered a case.
We colored people are safe only in our country.

Lobo...I am sure you know you are bluffing, the cases were registered immediately, I saw LIVE ON TV, when the Cops hurled in Ram Sene guys from the pub itself.
In Kandamhal too, the FIR's were registered, else how would the SC conduct the inquiries thereon?

AP: Thank you for twisting my words and trying to pin me down.

However, I refered to the TV for Mangalore and Kandamhal and not Melbourne.

Rediff has a report here which says what I have mentioned.

I am sure Rediff COOKED UP THE STORY, however, I am quoting that report.

Yeah... only in our country are we safe from train attacks.... it's a different matter that our students face crime on campus like Aman Khachroo did... But of course Aman was perfectly safe, coz he wasn't in Australia...

AP: You are getting me wrong. Quite frankly, I have read only little about the AMAN KACHROO tragedy, I have based my opinion on media reports.
I am not sure if any CASTE OR RELIGION was the reason behind his untimely death?
The fact is that I studied in an Indian University and dint come across any RACIST kind of attacks on anybody, yes we had our differences, but they were on the lines of youth etc.

AP: All attacks on immigrant population in Australia are racist. I went there as tourist and had to go thru. the same racist slur, I have flown Qantas many a times and have gone thru. it from the Air Hostess too.
I am sure you differ with me, else please TEACH ME how to understand the term RACIST SLUR OR ATTACK.

"All attacks on immigrant population in Australia are racist".... When you have already given the judgment, I don't see any point in debating with you....

What makes you think that all attacks on foreign tourists in India are NOT racist?...
