Indian is a nation full of criminals.
by Jas on Jun 01, 2009 10:41 AM  | Hide replies

WHY?
1. We murdered 10,000 Sikhs in 1984, and casually went back to our homes ate ric-daal and went to sleep, as if nothing happened.

2. We repeated this carnage in Gujarat in 2002, and again behaved in a similar manner - but by this time there was some media.

In the first case we made perpetrators of the crime Ministers! We are so cute.

In the second case we made the chief engineer of the crime Chief Minister.

WHAT RIGHT DO WE HAVE TO ASK for justice outside india?

lAST YEAR india was the leading nation when it comes to murder,32000 people were murdered.so the topic should be how to avoid attack in india rather australia, these are one off incidents in australia,do not blow it over, just normal.

I totally agree with you. Indian Police itself actively ENCOUNTERED many under-trails... shining example in Andhra Pradesh where they killed THREE PEOPLE (acid throwing case) - yeah - we dont need courts anymore ...

Very good advice : "do not visit pubs and night clubs".

Do not blame Ram Sene for this advice, I do scare about Secular Parties Action against this advice.

Whoz bothered?
by rupesh patil on Jun 01, 2009 10:29 AM

Now where are these politicians & media who created so much hue & cry when the U.P., Biharis were targetted in Mumbai. They were only driven away not even bruised badly. Here when it is a question of our own country men, our race & nationalism none of them seems to be interested. Naturally, these students do not form any big vote bank for the politicians, neither does it increase any TRP ratings for the crap Hindi news channels. One can clearly judge by the fact that one of our famed political leader from the north along with his wife did not even bother to stand up when the National Anthem was being played at one of the functions.

It is not only Indians
by vishal shah on Jun 01, 2009 10:23 AM

I agree with Hemant Rathod's comments. However, I would like to mention one point though that these violence cases happen very frequently in places like melbourne. It is just this time this happened more frequently to Indians in short period of time. It is not that these attacks only happen to Indians. Drunk or under influence of drugs, teenagers will attack anyone now he/she could be Indian or any other nationality. However, I do agree that we all should unite and raise our voice against these violences so atleast this will force goverment to put some measures and reduce number of attacks like these. Question is not how to avoid being attacked in australia; question is how to reduce these incidents taking place. We have to come up as strong community and force police and goverment to take strict actions against these people who believe they can get away with anything because they have attacked migrants. Let's join our voice together to protest and protect our and next generations of Migrants in Australia.

Why Mr. Rahul is not giving any comments on this burning issue. When he is a young leader and supposed to be a Masiha of young community than why he is keeping MUM.He should stop acting and do some work with an immediate effect.

With all due fairness about your sarcasm (I don't like Rahul either), there is no need to drag him into this discussion.... Australia is in the hands of capable politicians, and we don't need our crowd to be added into their parliament to increase their woes further.... ;-)

I agree with some of the comments above...When I was doing engineering, students from AP always spoke in their native tongue. The only thing I could understand was "Cheppu Cheppu". Frankly it was extremely irritating standing there like a fool while these guys kept on rattling like machine gun!!!

Know the facts. This is retaliation.
by Guest on Jun 01, 2009 10:01 AM  | Hide replies

The underlying story is of a retaliation against the hooligan jats and punjabi students and youngsters in Melbourne.
Have you noticed that there's no incident in Sydney or elsewhere......
People in Melbourne know exactly what I am referring to. The discontent has been brewing and has resulted in this outburst.
Awake....hypocrite Indians....

wotever the aussies have done is right..Y indian students go there for studies, once We have world famous collages like IITs IIMs, AIIMS etc. a little more effort by the students can make them earn the tickets for these collages. i was watching interview of one of the survivor. he was not able to speak correct English. such kind of people are looking for a career in australia..there are people who have been blessed with richness and good money and send their children abroad for studies, i wonder why not Indian Collages? because here the competition level is so very high that students are afraid to bear the pressure. and only the great survives. I urge people not to go abroad in countries like Australia, UK or US. Do it here in india

It will give you great pleasure to note that millions of Indian students are actually graduating out of Indian "collages" (whatever it might mean apart from being works of Picasso)...

A few thousand straying out from our shores shouldn't change things too much for India... .should it?...

Aare yaar...these people are going to Australia cause they can't secure a place in the good Indian colleges & universities. Paisa hai...chalo australia. And there is a sizeable part of these students who just goes over there to have a nice time.
May be the aussies are frustrated about loosing jobs to India. But the brashness of those spoilt Indian Kids also adds to that. In the bargain, the honest and hurt working students/migrants get hurt.
Lets not be under the illusion ki hum log dudh ka dhula hua hoon.

attacks on indian students
by Ajay S on May 31, 2009 09:40 PM  | Hide replies

What we are watching is reaction which is a cumulative built up of multiple factors bad economy leading to job losses and anger overtones in the form of frustration. I honestly dont support this kind of behavior. But if you see the very nature of the reactions which happened lately in Australia happens in many other countries also. What happened in Mumbai with MNS ransacking the Bihari is also a form of anger overtone. So honestly while in our own country we have the same nature of behavior which needs steep correction, the US story also remains the same the mugging and so is UK. There are always going to be few select group of people who either need to make themselves visible or prove a point or two. Indians are a soft target everywhere because the tolerant nature. In Sydney take the example the lebanese crowd I'm sure the Ozzies will not mess with them as they have learnt there lesson. Indians need to discard the tolerant image and give it back. Moreover lets gets some help from Bin Laden as thats what gets under the skin of the whites.
