I was abused
by Tarun on Jun 01, 2009 11:12 AM  | Hide replies

Once catching a flight from Sydney to Toronto I was physically abused badly by 4 Australians, I was broken completely, went to local police they put me in jail and treated me like I did something wrong, in few hours they kicked me out. I will never visit that country.

Australia is a friendly country.
by mumbai on Jun 01, 2009 11:07 AM  | Hide replies

Australia is supposed to be a friendly country. They were the staunch alley to America in the fight against terrorism. People might have not forgotton Australia's efforts to arrest the terrorists.
Indian people should clarify to Australia that all Indians are not favouring Dr. Hanif. Australians may be evaluating all Indian with Dr. Hanif.

THE INDIAN MENTALITY
by Junior Shelly on Jun 01, 2009 11:05 AM  | Hide replies

Having spent my childhood in the UK and working in Sydney (Australia) I have experienced a common pattern in the behavior of the people of Indian origin in both countries. We tend to keep us separate from the social life of the country in which we live and in the name of 'keeping Indian tradition alive' often ends up hurting and humiliating the natives. The typical Indian mentality of demanding everything from others without willing to give anything back. We demand special attention everywhere for being from a great country called India. As a physician in a Sydney clinic, I once had to calm down a native Australian colleague for he had been pushed out of the hospital room by an Indian lady for holding her to help her sit up in the bed. I still clearly remember those abusive words she said in Hindi. My advice to Indians who are planning to visit would be that, first try to gain as much knowledge as possible about the culture and manners in Australia, and after landing here, try to keep a friendly face to all. Take it from me - AUSSIES ARE ONE OF THE MOST EASY GOING AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE WORLD. BUT BEWARE, THE ARE AMONG THE WORST TO MESS WITH ALSO.

he..he..he..

some big jokes..

aussies are never considered friendly even by white people..

bullying is present even among children of age 4-9 in schools as per a report in newpaper The Australian..

whatever you do, these attacks are not going to stop, because they originate from the superiority complex of the racist white descendents of deported rapists, thugs, thieves and criminals..

perhaps bleaching your skin to white and dying your hair to blonde may help..

trying to go around with a friendly face is not going to help..

only way is to KEEP AWAY FROM THIS FILTHY NATION..JUST THAT..

And maybe Aman Khachroo's parents too.... and they will teach the Aussie "students" how to properly "treat" Indian students ...
Too much focus is currently on out-of-campus late night train and pub crimes.... let's bring some true "academic focus" into the Aussie universities as well...

Get some other degree than low paid australian
by Whiteman on Jun 01, 2009 10:56 AM  | Hide replies

Hard Core Criminals of the past british colonies were taken to australia. Though these criminal reformed overtime, yet the genes are same. Australia as i have seen is full of boozers, sex offenders, maniacs and drug addicts (see the number of australians getting capital punishment in singapore, indonesia, malaysia, thailand and other countries). As presented by the university bodies there is no high level of education in Australia. Asians are rather lured and duped in a billion dollar scam to come to australia for degrees that do not have any value in the world. Except the arabian gulf, no other region in the world has any value for australian education. Nevertheless the arabian gulf is the only place where australians do get some jobs. So why do asians ever go to australia/nz instead of academically better countries like US, UK, Germany, Japan. The answer is the cheaper education for a foreign degree. But if foreign degrees are meant to get a job, then asians are the biggest losers. As they wont be getting any jobs in the world. The value of an australian degree is even less than an indian, singaporean or malaysian degree. Second reason is Indians who want to get citizenship at cheap price so that with australian passport they can get fat dowry in India (specifically sardarjis), or higher pay jobs elsewhere in the world. But they have not realised that australians are not highly paid in the world, so why not spend some more money in other countries & be at par with elite.

you called a spade a spade..

people do not like that. crooks selling these degrees in india have painted such a rosy picture that students are falling over each other to get admitted.

i have a relative who had been boasting about his son being "very well set" in australia..

as i have myself several years out of india and some in white men's land, i used to quiz him about his son's qualifications and job..

he would give a roundabout reply to avoid my question, being tenacious, i would cross examine him and he would go round and round and then, contradict himself..

i knew the boy in india had not completed a proper degree, so getting into a good post graduate course was out of question..

there are many like them who feel that being in australia is the epitome of life..

but, the degrees from australia have no value anywhere else..i do not know about situation in gulf (anyway, who wants to go to gulf countries now), but elsewhere, these degrees are worthless..

SO, DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THEM AND KEEP AWAY..

Indian Govt should make Karate/KungFu Compulsory.
by Indian Guru on Jun 01, 2009 10:56 AM  | Hide replies

Indian Govt should conduct Karate / KungFu sessions and how to do mugging session for all students going to Australia.

The Karate/KungFu grades should be certified by Koreans and Japanese.

Mugging sessions should be certified by trained mugging spesialists from australia.

Also Indian Govt should mark the Passports and send an advisory to the aussie govt as Karate/KungFu certified and mugging specialist, so that aussies know that we Indians are not meak any more.

Go to Australia if you intend to do farming or mining.
by Whiteman on Jun 01, 2009 10:43 AM  | Hide replies

Going to Australia for education is the most stupid idea. There is no advantage in career across the world, as Australian/ NZ universities are not rated high enough like the USA, UK, Canada, Germany & Japan. You do not find australians at higher levels of the corporate field anywhere in the world. Neither do we not find much companies from Australia/NZ in the Fortune 500. The best field in Australia is Agriculture & mining. I think with rich agriculture & mining, India itself scores well over Australia. So I do not know why Indians fall prey to the Australian universities scam. Moreover there are absolutely no Job/ Career opportunities in Australia/NZ. If you are spending a fortune for foreign degrees, see that you spend it wisely where you will learn academically edging over others and may find a great career. Australia/NZ is certainly not an option. In my experience and statistics all asians who went to Australia/NZ are much poorer in qualifications, skill & experience to asians from US, UK, Canada, Germany or Japan. Its a fact that, Asians of all entities go to australia, only to get citizenship, not for education. Specifically in North India, people want to immigrate to these countries at all costs for dubious purpose like dowry from India etc. However australian passport though can give visa on entry, careerwise its not going to score. Whats the use of a citizenship when u cant earn money- the vital necessity??? I would advise, learn somewhere else and make money. Austra

the problem is no one wants to go for agriculture..and it is not a paying profession in india..most of the farmers just remain hand to mouth..

students to in name of studies just to get PR..

but, soon that craze will also die..

the fact is the idi0ts who have gone there do not tell others what the real situation is..

so a new person goes without knowing the real situation...once he lands there, he joins the first..

sooner or later, there will be people who will say "raja nanga hai" and people will know "oh, raja to nanga hai"..
