Below is my experience. This is very sad to see the attacks on Indian students. I lived in Melbourne for a short stay and realized that avoidance is the best medicine. The local young generation work on weekly wages basis mostly and the amount they get on Friday spend on booze and clubs. I have seen them go berserk on Friday and Saturday night and damaging even the national property leave alone attacking Indians. The best way to avoid is to stay away during these timings and stay put in hotel or your room. In groups they are mighty and don’t think twice to hit anyone since they are not in control due to alcohol influence. We have seen this many times happening and learnt a lesson to not to go out during that time or if necessary go along with a local which is safest.
Hope this is helpful to our country people staying abroad.
Officers in canberra are lazy and same as muncipal office or panchayat office employees.because they dont help and care about indian citizens either. one of my frd was racially attacked last year,when he sent email to comnmision they never cared. first thing is indian govt lacks ability to protect citizens. employees show there superiority complex and wont come to rescue....

Indians never give importance to Indians in india itself, how can you expect them to behave differently when you r in Australia?
To prevent attack of any kind, do not show other person what he want. e.g. Do not show smartness to dumb, do not show beauty to beauty hungry person. This boy has something which Aussie boy want so they are attacked. May be smartness, courage to work, study and stay in other country etc. etc.
we are most harsh than these peoples,they are just attacking or causing injuries but in our place what happening in the recent times we might notice like lot of foreign nationals are being murdered,raped,physically assaulting them,
In india first we are not perfect,than y we have to complain other countries

Dear kumar ... When this happens many of us point our people for fault and seem to be some kind of justice is met ... Do Australians point upon them selves or to thier history of racial excesses .. when their people are subjected to these attack ... They get together and make things safe for them selves and we people be haapy that as some kind of justification is met as some northies have some minor problem in Mumbai, the same attackers ridicule us even after being aggressors and you have to be victim as something has happened some where in India for which you aree not responsible .. Shame upon you .. wake up ...
Aussies are all time great racists. The best way one can avoid these racists by not going to Australia. Australian education is no better than Indian edcucation. If you get a chance in IITs/IIMS/IIMs or some good Universities in India,you can make better future.Avoid aussies.

Not only Andhraites, on May 9th, Sourabh Sharma was bashed in train, Few taxi drivers of Punjab origin have been attacked and Killed. Last year a guy called Kanan Kharbanda was attacked till he lost his left eye. There are many incidents involving non-Andraites.
