67th Independance Day celebrations.
by beegeeaar on Aug 21, 2013 08:21 PM

The other day I read in the Newspapers that 67 th Independence day was celebrated in the capital by way of hoisting of our National Flag from the Red Fort by the Prime Minister. Also the States celebrated the same in the state capitals. When I read these stories I started thinking the following :
1. The prices of essential commodities go unchecked and the cost is ever rising without any signs of coming down at any point of time. Not only essentials the commodity i.e. onion is selling at record price. This is astonishing. The present Govt. has totally failed to contain the prices.
2. There is fredquent hike in the price of fuels and this has harmed the owners of vehicles.Due to the high cost of diesel the autos and taxies have no other go but to increase their fares. This in turn falls on the public who hire taxies.
3. There is corruption running into thousands of millions of rupees and this disease is wide and deeply rooted. Right from the lowest level to the top upto the ministers, there is corruption which the govt. does not like to end. Because of this millions and crores of rupees are lost as they are not available for investment and developmental purposes.
4 Another problem is the black money. The total amount of black money is such big that it has upset our economy. If the amount held in foreign banks are brought here it can help in nation building projects and development. The govt. is saying that it will release the list of black money hold

Don't vote for Congress -- Anna Hazare.
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Oct 07, 2011 08:50 PM

Anna Hazare is 100 % correct to ask the people not to vote for Congress party as it has failed to bring in Lokpal bill as agreed. We should think of the reason for grudging to bring in the bill to eradicate corruption. The reason is very clear that most of the people ruling the country are found to be totally corrupt and if any bill of the sort envisaged by Anna is passed the first victims will be the administers at the centre.
The tragedy of the issue is that corruption has been allowed to take deep roots all these more than 60 years and nobody came forward to explain to the people the evils of corruption. We are blessed that we have Anna Hazare with us and with the support and backing he enjoys on all India level, we can hope to make some headway in eradicating the evil of corruption.
In our country any issue takes a long time for the people to understand. As majority of the people are in villages it becomes rather difficult to convince them as many are illiterates in rural areas.
Anna Hazare has jumped into the campaign only after studying the political and social conditions thoroughly. If we fail to make use of this opportunity then even GOD cannot save our people..

Politicians and Corruption.
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Mar 03, 2011 09:29 PM

I had a very high respect to the politicians, as they are responsible for the reconstruction of our country. But now a days the regard and respect if vanishing and I do not understand how bold they must be to steal amounts as much as thousands and lakhs of crores and deprive the country the benefits accruing from them. These people forget that they have taken the oath while assuming office that they will do nothing of the sort which is detrimental to the country. If after all these, if they plunder the tax payers money who will help our country ?

WE THE PEOPLE !
by beegeeaar on Jan 26, 2011 08:43 PM

What I think is that " We the People " has no meaning now a days because the govt . is not run for the people at all. When we are all jubilant in showcasing our achievement and military power it should be understood at the same time that millions of people are going without even one square meal. We can say we are independent and free only if all lower class people have a place to live, good food and clothes to get themselves protected from intense cold. Poor peoples living conditions should be improved to some extent.
Unless and until all these are there we cannot proudly say that we are Indians. The corruption has already eroded the benefits of the development plans. Added to this the black money of many VIPs are stated to be in Foreign banks which have deprived India the benefits of huge investments. No body is talking about eradicating corruption and nobody is interested in bringing the black money held in Foreign banks. So God only must save our mother land of INDIA.

Number portability
by beegeeaar on Jan 22, 2011 02:39 PM

At last now we have number portability which makes one possible to choose those service providers which are good.
When a business man gets a new phone connection and a phone number, he has to show the number in all correspondences, bill books, letter pad etc.etc. As the number is printed in all records, it is not easy or possible to quickly change it.
Now if we are not satisfied with the service provided by a company we can easily and immediately change over to some other better company. Our existing number will remain as it is.
This is a very commendable move by the authorities as it will help a healthy competition among the service providers.

Rise in the price of Petrol.
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Jan 16, 2011 01:30 PM

Our govt. is already battling with the problem of price rise in several ways without any good result. To add to the already burdened poor people now the prices of petrol have been raised to further torture the lower class and lower middleclass people. The plain truth is that the people are not going to be relieved of the burden of rising prices. Already the cost of ordinary daily use vegetable have skyrocketed and the helpless public do not know what to do.
The main problem is that the electorate who send their representative to the assembly/parliament never care at all to even visit once in five years to their constituencies which they are supposed to represent. Under the circumstance to whom the public go to pour out their problems. To be frank our representatives never represent us and they are busy taking care of their interests.
We have no answer to our above grievances and only GOD must save the poor people of this great Country of India.

THE NEW YEAR !
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Jan 14, 2011 07:32 PM

THE NEW YEAR.

The birth of a new year always brings hopes and joy. Human beings live on hopes and such hopes and expectations are now more as the people find every year worse than the previous year.
The steep and the regular price rise is the main problem for every member of the lower and lower middle class people. People begin to lose hope in the New year as even no New Year seems to bring them any relief.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THE YEAR 2011 TO BE?
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Jan 03, 2011 02:52 PM

AS we had enough and enough of corruption and scams last year, my expectation is that the New year 2011 should be as follows :

1.Primarily it should be free of corruption.
2.Occurrences of scams of any kind must not be there.
3.No violence should take place in any part of our country involving loss of precious lives.
4.Dharnas, Strikes and agitations must not be there.
5.The unity of the country should be preserved.
6.Steps, immediately, should be taken to arrest the rise in prices of essentials.
7.Free education must be spread and school going aged children should be enrolled.
8.The abnormal increase in the price of fuel and cooking gas must be down to a level affordable by the lower middle class and lower class people.
9.The roads in Municipal localities should be properly laid and attended.
10.Steps should be taken to protect the environment and avoid pollution.

CORRUPTION.
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Jan 02, 2009 09:53 PM

"Corruption" is the disease which we are not able to cure so far. It is a very dangerous disease affecting the very health of our nation. What does corruption do ? Because of corruption the morale of the people is destroyed. Corruption deprives people of quality works and we are not able to get the entire benefit for which we are entitled.
It is very painful to note that corruption is there at all the levels of administration. Those in power think of getting bribes from people to execute works. The various big projects executed are of substandard and low in quality.
How are we going to eliminate this devilish corruption ?
With spread of education and awareness drives we can hope to eliminate this evil.
