Put yourself in boss chair, then you will feel that bosses are never meant to listen or obey their subordinates, that is why a boss is a boss and a subordinate is a subordinate all that a boss can do is to take the subordinate views. Take things positive and carry on with with your duties as you normally carry on your duties at your home with your family inspite of whether your father or mother does not obeys or listens your saying.
Sometimes I feel that bosses are some sort of mind control excercise dummies planted on earth by evil aliens from the planet zircon. But then I feel that are not so they may actually be aleins from the planet zircon who have come here to subject people from planet earth to some form of mindless slavery. It is very hard to communciate with the boss may be they exchange messages at a higher frequency as I feel tough to convince the boss what is actually right. I have also tried giving telephatic thoughts repetedly to ensure that he gets thoughts about my promotion in his mind but alas all to no avail. Even if they are not aleins they seem to be from another sub species of humans alltoghther. there is documented proff that a wing of the neanderthals was lost during evolutuion without a trace...may be they are not missing afterall..they are in our offices looking over our shoulder as I write this message
Sheila, you are a working girl, and before stepping into professional world you definately would have had high plans for your career and growth like anything but dear the job market is ruthless and you plz. understant it. If you need success over others you need to keep a check on your subordinates and a foot on your coligue's heads to go high. Your boss doesn't get impressed by your ideas so stop giving any idea for few days and ask hers by telling her that her ideas sounds more perfect than yours (As she says)be cool and show yourself happy with ur job and definately you will see the change ! I had always wanted to have a good Boss.In one of the interviews that i attended the interviewer asked what i expected from the company.I simply answered that i want to have a good Boss.Surprisingly i got the job.That was incidentally the only question the panel asked me.
Hi, I deal every day with such people and let me tell you speaking to your boss or his boss will not help. If you go to your boss's boss it will never help.... remember he is probably the one who selected/promoted your boss. Also his KRA (Key Responsibilities Area) does not include managing you and as long as your boss keeps his boss satisfied he will give a dam to what you think. You can try to talk to your boss but not much hope there either. He has become your boss by being an ass and so he will continue being one. Best is to be more aggressive with your ideas and catch him in a public meeting etc with your ideas. If this does not work or if you don't have the stomach for playing office politics then you better look for another job. If you don't want to do the above then just keep your ideas to yourself and say, "yes boss" to everything your boss says.
One or the other time everyone has some problems with his/her boss.But why don't we try to evaluate the situation from his point of view? He might also have some problems with you which may be far genuine to him and sufficient too to behave in the manner he is behaving. As such the best solution is to try to make your boss understsnd and feel that you are there to share his burden and not to increase his confusions and disgust. Make him feel that you are the most reliable person for him by giving him right suggestions as and when required and don't stay back to apologise if you have committed some mistke. Apologise before him in the most sincere manner and he will surely be the person protecting you from all odds. After all BOSS is also a human being. And last but not the least, sincerely give him a feeling that he is the most important and most genuine person in the organisation and you will always support him whenever he requires.
Hi. I too experianced this many times. Whenever you put some suggestions to your Boss finally there can be only one result. Either positive(if he agrees) or negative. In your case you found it always negative. Try to approach him with negative suggestions which also will get rejected. In that case there are chances of getting achived your original suggestion being implememnted. For example There are 2 colors (black and white) out of which finally only one color is to be selected. And you found \"white\" is well suited then approch your Boss with \"black\" as your selection. Then your Boss will definetly go for \"white\" just to reject your suggection. But finally you will end up with your with your choice of selection. But please note that you follow these only when there is no record of your suggestion(email correspondance) is stored. Otherwise it may send wrong signals to other members of your organization. Prefer to use this trick only in case of verbal discussion.
