CORRUPTION.
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Jan 02, 2009 09:53 PM

"Corruption" is the disease which we are not able to cure so far. It is a very dangerous disease affecting the very health of our nation. What does corruption do ? Because of corruption the morale of the people is destroyed. Corruption deprives people of quality works and we are not able to get the entire benefit for which we are entitled.
It is very painful to note that corruption is there at all the levels of administration. Those in power think of getting bribes from people to execute works. The various big projects executed are of substandard and low in quality.
How are we going to eliminate this devilish corruption ?
With spread of education and awareness drives we can hope to eliminate this evil.

WHAT MAKES INDIA UNIQUE ?
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Aug 16, 2007 08:03 PM

India is unique in several ways but the one thing which keeps us united is that we are all INDIANS and nothing can tear us apart. That does not mean that all the states are uniformly similar. there are minor differences which does not come in the way of unity.

there are certain afflictions we are suffering from and the main among them is CORRUPTION. because of this our development and progress are very much affected and the full benefits of planning are not reaching the people.

when we talk of uniqueness our ages old culture stands as number one actually foreign tourists are attracted to our country. to give one example our TAJ MAHAL alone will do to tell the world our past culture. there are so many hindu temples all over south india which amply demonstratess to the world the past heritage of india.

on the political side we have adopted Non alignment as our foreign policy which also is our plus point.

we are the greatest democracy in the world with periodical general elections every five years. though there are many political parties, yet the governmentis being run smoothly. on theeconomic front we are healthy with good progress. in the agricultural field we are self sufficient to feed our growing population.

UNITY IN DIVERSITY AND AGE-OLD CULTURE ARE OUR ASSETS.

DECLINING READING HABIT ?
by ramamoorthy ramamoorthy on Aug 16, 2007 07:44 PM

DURING THE PAST TEN YEARS THE READING HABIT HAS VERY MUCY DECLINED. THE REASONS ARE ELECTRONI MEDIA INVATION LIKE TELEVISION, COMPUTER AND OTHER GADGETS.

BECAUSE OF GLOBALISATION MORE ADVACED ELECTRONIC GOODS AT CHEAP PRISES HAVE DRIVEN PEOPLE TO PURCHASE THEM.

WHATIS THE REMEDY FOR IT ? READING HABIT SHOULD BE INCULCATED IN THE YOUNG MINDS IN THEIR SCHOOLS AND ITS IMPORTANCE EMPHASISED.
A LARGE NUMBER OF GOOD LITERATURE IS AVAILABLE IN PRINTED BOOKS AND THE STUDENTS SHOULD BE ADVISED TO READ THEM TO BENEFIT FROM THEM.

INSPITE OF ELECTRONIC MEDIA, THE PRINTED NEWSPAPERS ARE SELLING MORE AND MORE. THIS SHOWS THAT THE PRINT MEDIA IS VERY WELL GROWING.

be tactful

My dear,
Basically no boss listens to any subordinate. Even if you would be in that position you might have acted in that way. The problem is that not matter of boss or employee, even in our day to day relation also it happens with our parents and friends. we always think on our part and in our strong perception. your boss intention may not be to insult you , you check once with his mentality even apart from this issue. you had better understand the task and suggest. one time he may reject and second time may... but once he get confirms you are right when things turn reverse what he thinkls is correct definately he will give ear to you.
regaredless try analyse whereis the wrong.

well said. but the humans cannot be judged or assessed correctly and as such the temperament of human beings may not be always the same. the solution is wait and see.

DECLINING READING HABIT ?
by beegeeaar on Sep 15, 2006 06:28 PM

DECLINING HABIT OF READING.

every one will admit particularly the parents that the reading habit among students has miserably come down.

what are the reasons for this ?

in the first place the invasion of electronic media is the main reason. because of its visual impact it has a better hold on the viewers. the availability of cheap television sets and the spread of cable networks have largely contributed to this.

moreover now we are living in the fast world and people in general have no time to think calmly. men are working like machines otherwise they will have to lag behind in the race.

to arrest this trend many steps have to be taken and one most important among them is to impress on the students the importance of reading good books.

another factor which is contributing to the decline in the reading habit is the high cost of indian publications not many can afford to buy books.since the spread of education will help the country in the long run, books should be made affordable and easily available also.

it cannot be denied that BOOKS are always convenient and handy and it can be used whenever and whereever we want.

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY ?
by beegeeaar on Sep 10, 2006 06:25 AM

WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY ?

THERE is no single answer to the above question because
what makes one happy may not at all make the other person
happy.

being happy is a state of mind and he who thinks happy is happy and so it is the state of mind which matters.

i think that no amount of money or love will bring
happiness to one unless he learns the art of being happy.

in this though money and love play a major part it will be of no use unless the concerned person has the proper frame of mind and thinking.

ANGRY ?
by beegeeaar on Aug 25, 2006 10:09 AM

ANGRY ? HOW WOULD YOU REACT ?

" Anybody can become angry---that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way -- that is not within everybody's power and
is not easy. "

This is a saying of ARISTOTLE

This amply explains how difficult it is to control and contain anger. In the present day life, with so much of stress and tension there is little scope for not being angry. There are so many factors which contribute to anger.
When a certain thing which we expected does not happen then we become angry and it leads to tension. Tension in the long run leads to blood pressure and heart diseases. But controlling anger is within our power and some practice is required to do this. If we keep our mind under our control and we practice taking up things in a calm way without getting emotional, the anger
Can to a great extent controlled.

The recent researches have proved that when one gets angry, his entire body
System is affected and it causes damages in several ways. Though it is not easy to control anger it is always better to try and attempt controlling anger
Because ANGER IS ONE LETTER SHORT OF DANGER

AS I am one of the normal persons and as I know what the anger will do, I
Always try to be calm and composed when I am provoked in any way.

ARE PEOPLE LOSING THE HABIT OF READING ?
by beegeeaar on Aug 24, 2006 06:05 PM

ARE PEOPLE LOSING THE HABIT OF READING ?

IF the title is observed it does not say the students are losing the reading habit but it says that the people are losing the habit of reading. so it means that not only the student community but the larger people have lost the habit of reading. why it is so?

compared to the conditions prevailing about 30 - 40 years back with the present it may be seen that the people are moving fast and they are always on the run in life. they have no time to stop and think and they are always on the move. this is due to rapid industrialisation and the government policy of open economy. the world as a whole has shrunk in size due to the improvement in transport system. the improvement in the standard of life of the people in general also has contributed to this.

people are accustomed to easy ways of life and never prepared to work hard for their livelihood. with the progress and development in electronic communication, 24 hour t.v channels and availability of computers, the masses are able to afford for these amenities.

whatever may be the reasons, the usefulness of the printed media can never be underestimated. the books are always THE BEST COMPANIONS.

the government policies should be such that it will encourage the habit of reading right from the student level and this only will help to increase and popularise BOOK READING.
