A refreshing change
by RB Easwar on May 16, 2009 06:58 PM

I being from Trivandrum was sceptical at first when I heard the news that Mr.Sashi Tharoor was going to be the candidate from Trivandrum. But gradually after seeing hearing his views on TV and good body language,I whole heartedly wished the he will win. A refreshing change from the usual khadar-walas.

Rediff's support for Shashi Tharoor
by Hari on May 16, 2009 06:55 PM

Happy to see Shashi Tharoor winning the elections. I do beleive that he is a man of words. Rediff has given Shashi Tharoor lot of support coming out with multiple articles. Is this an example of how media makes a man / politician / media influence?

Shashi Tharoor's first electoral Win
by prem hassanand lulla on May 16, 2009 06:48 PM

Shashi Tharoor is an intellectual with a difference. More men like him needed in Indian Politics today. Looking at credentials of average politician or a member of parliament, one feels disaapointed. It is people like Shashi Tharoor who kindle the small flame of hope in hearts of Indian populace. Bravo, keep it up, may you go on further in your political career and shoulder bigge responsibilities for the country. We are proud of you.

Hope your English speaking abilities are better than your writing skills in that language.
Never knew that speaking English was a criterion for becoming an MP. By the way, you're not hoping for a North Indian English accent, are you?
Get a life, mate. Try travelling to an English-speaking country and see how your accent pans out. There may not be much difference after all between you and your "goo ood"-ly country cousins.
