Retire Now or Wait for Ouster
by DEBABRATA DEY on Mar 25, 2013 03:08 PM  | Hide replies

This is the right time for Sachin to retire with profound honour i.e. after thumping home series victory with Australia 4-0. His performance in Delhi test was horrible. We have seen that he was out LBW number of times; but, the Umpires did not raise their fingers. His footwork became very slow including coordination with eyesight.

I agree ..in first innings had DRS been there he was out LBW four times for his 20 odd runs

He's had always been an ideal candidate for LBWs and many time he'd not been given out because of his clout or say absence of DRS.

Sachin - the greatest player

sachin is no doubt a great batsman and we need him for such tough tours like SA and WI. The mere presence would give the morale strength to the entire team. At the same time I would request Sachin to play his natural game, I find he is curbing his game thats why the runs are not flowing. You have done more than anyone to the game of cricket. So go for a feast of the opponents, runs would overflow

I am not a great fan of Sachin. But I still feel, he should play in the SA tour for the following 3 reasons:

1. He will get to his personal milestone of 200 tests that he is silently targeting.
2. We will have atleast 1 batsmen in top6 who has exp of playing SA in SA.
3. Sponsors would be happy atleast till this year end.

india were struggling at 12 for 2. in came tendulkar and fired 3 fours off the best bowler from opposite side james pattinson.

that started the revival of indian team from their doom and final result is 4-0.

please don't comapre legend sachin with manipulator SRK.
SRK can be copmared with manipul;ator in cricket dhoni.
U can comapre SRT with perfectionist amir khan.
I am fan of SRT but wish that he retire after SA series.
He has shown his excellence & perfection for 21 yrs. Lat 2 yrs is not that great. Let him retire gracefuly after SA series

i don't go by other people's opinions...you can call it my strength or weakness.

i have my own opinions which may be against the tide.

SRK and Sachin may or may not be past their prime but their mere mention still gurantees all the news and eyeballs.
