patil dropped sehwag on poor performance, why not sachin ? sehwag had at least a 100 against england. but the plaster continues because patil is there to ensure his presence in the team.
his forced retirement from ODI was apparently to prolong his career in Test cricket. Prolong it for what. at 40 he wishes to prolong it for personal records only.
his supporters say that he should be allowed to play for the passion & love he has for the game. sehwag , gambhir , bhajji , zaheer , pathan . dravid & lacchu did not have passion & love , so they should be dropped or were dropped.
For him , it is selfish to quit when on top of the game. Is it not selfish to continue when for last 2 years he has been a miserable & spectacular failure.
it is the greed only which is driving his love, after all Contract of A category will keep on bringing in the money -whether he scores 8 or 80.
will continue to play as long as his "uncles" occupy imp positions in bcci/selection committe. He will play at least 78 matches more solely because of 81 in chennai. & how he scored them & how he got out. last 4 of this 81 came in 60 balls before his torture was ended by lyon. why did he slow down .only to achieve personal record. MSD came in blasting & alongwith tailenders ensured that india finish off on a winning note.
Scoring just 192 @32 and that too mainly because of a 81 in the 1st innings of the 1st test...We all know how weak this Aussie team was, so many Indian batsmen managed huge centuries vs them. Sachin was playing slow even when momentum was created by Dhawan and Vijay in the last test. It's clear he's past his prime and should, like any respected veteran, hand over the mantle to the next generation and retire. He will continue to make 20-30 run scores for another 2 years but what's the point? He's just harming his legacy.
calling sachin names are useless creatures and plain simple jealous of sachin with no knowledge of cricket... well if it was not for sachin scoring and guiding youngsters to score in india's ist inning in first test after losing 2 quick wickets then series result might have been different...

You are just giving value to his innings...whether Sachin or not, India would have won the series.

What is want to achieve...it was a very good chance to get retire in lost series he lost now again he will announce his test retirement from home he deserves that...for his selfishness
