cricket without critic is incomplete. you guys on discussion board make it more spicy. hey kids dont fight dont quarrel. papa doesnt like it. i enjoy your good comments and fumes at the bad ones. take care guys
You have reduced Indian cricket to shambles. Doing politics, controversy with team mates, curators, every one. Begging for pitches.
And you dream of beating Dada's record? There cannot be a better reply than this ...at the Eden gardens a loss that to almost an innings defeat. Loosing the series to England at home.
Doni u should retire, you will never come close to dada as a captain even if you equal his record. The whole world acknowledges that. Have some shame.

Absolute rubbish. Dada is the worst captain, he is a women politician who conspired agsinst Laxman, Dravid, used to lick Jag Dalmiya.

Dhoni is definitely the best captain and much much much better than Boudi. Dada is actually Boudi. Dada was lucky that his team mates won him the matches. Dada was actually a spineless captain who used to become sher when teammates won him the match
Only slaves and their white masters ( UK, Australia, NZ) plays Cricket, which 99 percent of the Indians have never played but only watch in the TV. Indians should forget Cricket and concentrate on Olympic games.

If you want to promote Olympics, you can promote it with all your will. But you don't have the right to say that India should not play cricket even after seeing India winning the previous World Cup. There is a lot of cricketing talent in India. If u can't play cricket, it is ur problem. u r not fit for it. go and watch tv. :P

I don't see the point how the writer of this article separates captaincy from leadership. A captain to be successful has to have very good leadership quality. And yes Dhoni is the most successful captain going by the strings of successes he has so far achieved in his unfinished career and certainly has those leadership qualities.Well one area he didn't do well so far is his record abroad as a captain. Agreed. But how does the writer bring in the name of mansur Ali khan pataudi who has the highest overseas losses in his stint as captain? And regarding Ganguly it can be said he salvaged some drawn series abroad and was once white washed in new Zealand. If that is the criterion of a successful captain why not give the credit to Ajit wadekar who won two back to back series in west indies and England? Frankly I didn't find any substance in this article with facts supressed and not brought out properly. The writer needs more training and skill to develop into a sports journalist. Rating : 3 out of 10 Poor
Nice article; I agree with most points. However, I feel that Ganguly could not have lasted much longer as captain. His form was very poor; of course his problems with Chappel could hav e been a contributing factor. His captaincy during that period was not inspirational. It really was time for him to go and allow someone else to take over. Don't get me wrong. I just loved his in-your-face captaincy. We need more of the same. As far as Dhoni is concerned, he still has a lot to prove as a captain. His record abroad, both as captain and batsman, is very poor. Winning two World Cups is no mean acheivement. However, if he can help us win Test series in Australia and South Africa, then there will be no doubt who our greatest captain is. And if he can make India champions in all three forms of the game that would be the icing on the cake. So far Dhoni is the king of ODIs and T20s; Tests (specially abroad) are a totally different ball game. Only time will tell.
