Mithun ?
by Sudhindu sen on Jan 30, 2010 10:06 AM

With all said and done..
This Mithun and guys could not bundle out Mumbai batting line up twice and lost. Mysore pitch was pace bowling friendly.

my vote goes to Dhawal Kulkarni for his all round performance. He would have been better selection.

Bowling
by arun on Jan 30, 2010 07:09 AM

Indian bowling is its weakest link. that too its spin department. Mishra, Ohja has been disappointments.Of Mishra & Ohja, Ohja is the better one. They dont have the X factor to decieve the batsman. Certainly not Harbhajan either. Selectors have shown huge patience and tolerance towards him. Mumbai Indians has been made laughing stock for giving him 850000$. He has totally lost his touch. There is a huge void after Kumble. certainly Bhajji has not filled it.
TN Spinner Ashwin can be given a chance. He is a good lower order batsman as well. Is in form with his performance with bat and ball 2 50s and six wicket in a innings. And he has developed the Mendis's carrom ball too in his armoury.

do u know how many centuries Badri has to hit over last 5 years to get this one chance. Let Kaif play well for a season, ten he will be in the queue. For the sake of giving a chance ,he cant be given a chance

Mr. Imran A., for ur kind knowledge, in the Duleep Trophy Kaif was playing for the Central Zone. He scored 112 against the South Zone and Central zone lost the match and failrd to make it to the Final.

In the other Duleep Trophy match, Abhishek Nayar scored 259* not out, and his innings took the West Zone into the finals. Also he score 156 in Ranji Semi fianal & half century in Ranji Final which helped Mumbai to win the Trophy.

So Mr.Imran, please alter your records. Before giving any oppertunity to Kaif in Test, there are few others waiting in the wings like:
Rohit Sharma, Abhishek Nayar, Chetesh Pujara,Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane & Manish Pandey.
Until then Kaif & U can sit back & relax & enjoy some pickle.

It is amazing to see Harbhajan's name in the team though he couldnt prove himself against a team like B'desh where Ojha & Mishra fared much better. What is more galling is his arrogance at taking even a tailender's wicket.Looks like he has taken his place for granted as long as Dhoni is at the helm.

yes this seems to be the problem for Indian bowlers. Dhoni himself asked the bowlers to improve by at least 50% recently which speaks volumes of what he thinks of India's bowling at International level.

i am surprised why mithun was choosen .it is sucide 4 mithun to play in indian dead pitches .he shd hv been given chance 2 play against bangla instead of ishant & sreesanth.he is bowling above 140kmph consistently.his pace & bounce stunned all ranji players.pls omit him now.choose him 4 aus,sa,eng,wi & nz away tours

Sometimes I feel you are right....on these dead pitches if SA batsmen belt him around...what about his confidence? It will hit a low...On other hand...if he bags a 3 for , 5 for...

Saha
by Raghu on Jan 29, 2010 02:16 PM  | Hide replies

While saha may be a great prospect for future wicket keeper batsmen for India... i dont understand the logic behind dropping inform Karthik.. Though karthik hasnt fired with centuries.. he has shown pretty decent skills both behind the stumps and with the bat with the limited opportunities he has got.. not to forget that he is a great fielder as well...
God knows what was going on in kris Srikant's mind..

According to Indian cricketing experts Saha is the best keeper in the country at present. Kartick played so many test and one day only due to he is belong to the same state of Board President and in recent Chattagram test he is been a failure as a keeper and as a batsman. He had not done anything either with bat or with gloves that he will get chance all the time. It must be better to check new faces.
