We have to face the fact that in today's world money is the biggest motivation to perform, so this should be used by teams to make their players perform. IPL teams should do the following:
1. Reduce the contracts to 1 year with a minimum pay (retainer fees only) and pay all the players on per game basis, ie. a player is paid a match fee if plays in the game (only 12 players get paid per match). The team managers have to select the best 12 every game, which means every player has to perform or no match fees for the next game
2. Remove the limit on foreign players playing in the match. The game of cricket or any sport for that matter should be about merit. You should earn as much as you can provided you have the talent and you perform. Not like the current situation where players like Kholi, Raina, Ishant are paid more than the likes of Ponting.
This will create competition, a very healthy competition where Indian youngsters will compete with the best in the world and are not paid tons of money for making up the numbers in the teams.
All the problems of Indian cricket will be solved, as you will create the best and fittest players in India through IPL and then these players can be picked up National Selectors to represent our country.
the cleaning should start from the captain himself. There should be a cap on how many Ads they do. As the ad interest, bollywood parties and TV dance shows are all affecting their concentration and commitment.
Ever since I left playing cricket I have been watching the game and its player. Till date I have watched Sachin the modern Bradman of India who has not swayed out of his life line in midst of money and fame. Rest the new comers and oldies like Yuvraj and Dhoni. I am not against the money but the dedications are missing from them. And we must act seriously to revamp the BCCI. BCCI must be free off businessmen like Lalit Modi and the people who are not from the field of sports. They must be at least from state level player. This young player unable to handle the pressure. As far I am concern India must find a new off spinner in place of Harbhajan who looks like a stupid bowler to me.
Who cares in India? Is there anybody interested in India about CL20 except IPL owners and Mr Modi? Every citizen wants India to perform in international matches. Their heroes should score heavily and take wickets and win matches for India. After debacle in T20 world cup and champios trophy where India could not go beyond preliminary round, hardly anybody is interested about IPL matches where everybody earns his riches be it player, administrator or owners. Instead putting this schedule of CL matches players should have been rested for the next Australian series. Once they start winning for India, nobody will mind one schedule of IPL matches. My request to the administrator don't kill the game and don't kill the hen who lays golden egg

they already rested for 3 months after their early round exits..infact indian players are doing nothing as no advertisers want them in their ad...the players need to be given fielding practice and those who not perform should be hit on their pichwada
Dis-advantages of IPL- 1) Players are injured & cannot render service to national teams. 2) Youngsters run behind money, so they dont perform well in the international matches. 3) I am 99% confident this phone call mentioned in the news was made by Tendulkar because there are no seniors from Mumbai !

infact dravid could have made the call...thats the reason he is shown the door
Money does matter and must drive the game. If the game is strong enough it will survive, if not let it perish. The pathetic sight of ex cricketers survival will motivate the youngsters to go IPL way, why not?
I donot see any thing wrong focusing on Money, as every individual in this world works for money only, so abosultely fine, for instance BCCI has encourged this IPL format in Domestic circuit with only reason to make money ,so it is unfair for BCCI to blame players stating they are playing for money, first let them correct themselvers and question the players
Yes IPL is ruining the Test cricket. But we can say that only if we have the same set of players playing all forms of game. Because the T20 shots start creeping in ODIs and Tests and then the career of such players (referring especially to batsmen) is always short-lived. They don't get the training and practice of building the innings, holding it together and then laying platform for a win. That's possible only in Tests and some in ODIs. Also, the fitness levels of T20 and Test match is different. You need to be extremely fit for T20, but you need long-run stamina for ODI and even more for Tests.
