Its a pity going to cricket stadiums in india with sorry looking infrastructures, infact some stadiums do not even keep up with a minimum safety criteria for public places.

I feel there is a churn taking place. To draw a parallel the cine stars of yester years squandered there sudden riches in to alcohol & loose living landing themselves in to penury after their time. Now one sees a sea change in the present day movie stars & how wisely they handle thir professional lives.Like wise, this would happen in the sports field also.Of course, till then, INDIA would take a beating till the above process gets completed.
The most clear cut answer is that Test cricket will stay in history of this great game forever and this stupid 20 or what evr cricket it is said to be will be finished and who ever watches it is not a true cricket fan/ follower of GAME!!!!!!!!.
And as far as qualifying goes what about this so called "minnows" i follow the irish cricket team and i sya/tell u that these so called under estimated teams play a better brand of cricket and it should be these so called "world class teams" that shall/should be playing inqualifiers for such major tournaments World cup and not the true teams who are always the "Minnows"
The audited Financial results of IPL 2008 were out recently. The income was somewhat around 650 crores and net profit which went to BCCI was just 15 crores. That means they have spent approximately 635 crores for IPL 2008. Could you beleive this Accounts as they have not invested a single penny on building infrastructure. where did the money go?? its anybodys guess. Lalit Modi and company has been beaming that this league values around 8000 crores and for the new team bids each team will cost around 1200 crores. Unbeleivable records as the IPL is just 2 years old and none of the team has any Assets nor they are investing in promoting Cricket .This league is hyped just like stock markets infact much more than that and nobody knows what will happen if the league stops due to any unforeseen Circumstances?.The investers are going to be bankrupt for sure. Its a matter of time. There are lot of things to ponder for the government as well as the investers in these IPL teams. But one thing is for sure .Some body is making Money out of nothing!!!

It was pathetic to see RP Sing grinning in the India-Pak Match in CT. I am not against money , but they are becoming heartless mercenary!! They are not true to their profession!!
Why blame IPL alone, the kind of extracurricular off the field activities they are engaged in are also to be equally responsible. Moreover can anyone answer who thinks for this country??? everyone is busy with his or her ownself. Only on 15th August and 26th January we see patriotism. Pay annual salaries to these players, play and perform for 12 months, win matches, bring match winning checks back, then payment will be made. only then these bunch of patriots will rise up. kick in the ass is the best policy for those who bring shame to the country.
If the players make more money in IPL, good for them. For us the spectators, we get to see good fast-paced cricket with a lot of skills on display. If old-style cricket does not appeal to players and spectators any more, get rid of it. BCCI should take a hard and fast look at its increasing irrelevance that it has tried to cover up by its own money power so far.
