Fans will be fans. If Sachin was the greatest, fans wouldn't have to keep saying 'he is the best, he is god' blah blah blah. This clearly shows that their god of cricket isn't greater than mere mortals like Ponting, Dravid, Kallis, Lara, Chanderpaul, Hussey, Gilly, Hayden, Steve Waugh, Graeme Smith, Gibbs, Pietersen, Flintoff, Sehwag, Sangakkara, Duminy, Md. Yousuf, Michael Clarke, Langer, and Agarkar.

Read the comments from your so called mortals @ "Sachin@20: Hear it from the greats" and you will know who is great

"I have seen god, he bats at no. 4 for India" lol Keep trying to prove he is the best. I'm having a good laugh off it.

I just like having fun with some obsessed fans like yourself who actually think Sachin is god. haha

why is that there is no such fanatism about any other player? why is that people throw praises at him? How can inspite of being just an ordinary great cricketer, he had fooled all the greats of cricketer into saying good things about him... ?

Gaurav, why do you think is rediff putting all these articles on here? It's the little god's 20th year in cricket. People are supposed to say nice things about you in Public then. If Justin Langer was to write a dossier on Sachin...haha he may have said something like Sachin can be a bit of a cat (the other word) in a tough situation.

If you have a powerful lobby, BCCI (Sharad Powar, Gavaskar, Shastri etc....), he will even be called greater than GOD and continue to play for another 10 years, with poor Sachuu fans praising at him and shouting, barking against the Australians......
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Sachin fans say he is the greatest
by Gaurav Gaddhyan on Nov 14, 2009 11:26 PM
good that we have some people like you who barks for the australians...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Sachin fans say he is the greatest

I am a true Indian supporter, but equally praise the talents of Australians and even Pakistani greats like Akram, Miandad (Only for his batting skills and guiding youngsters in the other end), Wakar younis etc....
If Sachin is so talented, technical etc... who is he not opening in the Test Matches, since he is a ODI opener. If he can play at No-5 in tests, why he cannot even play NO-3 in ODI's so as to allow inform Gambhir to open and also to shoulder the responsibility during the middle and end over’s in ODI's.
Many great players were called greatest because with their age and experience they shouldered responsibility for their country's win during their later years unlike Sachin who used to take run of the very first ball even while tail enders are batting. Shame on his experience.......
Re: SACHIN'S EXPERIENCE...UUUUHHHHH
by Rahul Ponting on Nov 14, 2009 11:10 PM
Why the hell should he open when you've got better openers in Sehwag and Gambhir? Don't doubt his experience. That's the main reason why he is still in the team. And please don't talk about his fielding. He is in the team for batting, not for fielding. Please let him continue playing for another 20 years...unless people start hitting him joote and chappals and make him wear joonta ka haar. He is god after all, you know.
Re: Re: SACHIN'S EXPERIENCE...UUUUHHHHH
by Gaurav Gaddhyan on Nov 14, 2009 11:22 PM
just to tell you what kind of correlation is there between sachin openinn and india performing
World cup 1991 - Sachin new, bats 3 or 4 down, india doesn't reach semifinals World cup 1996 - Sachin opening, takes india to semifinal single handed, however in semifinal team folds after he is out world cup 1999- initially not opening, without him, cann't even beat zimbabwe, cannot reach semis world cup 2003 - sachin single handedly again takes india to finals, but game is lost before he comes to bat in finals world cup 2007 - sachin in middle order, india's worst performance ever
Re: Re: Re: SACHIN'S EXPERIENCE...UUUUHHHHH
by Rahul Ponting on Nov 14, 2009 11:32 PM
So are you suggesting that Sachin is useless if not an opener? what a shame!
Re: Re: Re: Re: SACHIN'S EXPERIENCE...UUUUHHHHH

so you are saying that india is one man army... and sachin is the team
Re: Re: SACHIN'S EXPERIENCE...UUUUHHHHH
by rahul bajaaj on Nov 14, 2009 11:14 PM
The only person in the team, who cannot throw the ball, bowl and bat is SACHUU THE GREAT.
Re: Re: Re: SACHIN'S EXPERIENCE...UUUUHHHHH
by Rahul Ponting on Nov 14, 2009 11:16 PM
He is god. Don't laugh at him when he makes himself look out of place with his fielding otherwise fans will cry.
Indian team in the last 3-4 years has a better winning records without sachin, than with him in the past. Sachin's absence will be felt only in flat batting tracks like hyderabad, that too for a failing cause.
Tendulkar had always failed at crucial times (Except Sharjah-1998, Tri bank Series-2008 & in the highest run chase in combination with Yuvraj Singh)considering his vast experience Number of matches played (450 ODI 140 odd Tests). He has failed in crucial junctures. But, the most important thing is that he has taken his place for granted since 2000 (Except for 2003 WC). In the current series also, he was not involved in any of the Indian wins. Except for his 175, his other 5 innings fetched only a meagre 100 runs at an average of 20. So, Tendulkar is not a reliable player during crunch situations and he is not a finisher which he has proved many an occasion.

1996 world cup semifinal... india chasing around 250... sachin gets run out at around 100, story after that is known 1999 chennai test... battling back pain and wearing wicket, he takes india from crisis situation to some 20-30 odd runs within victory... he gets out... lower order folds (4 wickets)... 1st champions trophy which was happening in dhaka... sachin scores 140 runs... and takes 4 wickets Hero cup final... sachin bowling last over...
innumerable such incidences... its a team game... all 11 needs to perform well...
whenever sachin plays well and gets support from other end (even little support), india wins so convincingly, that it looks like it was easy game to be won...

Rahul The Bajaj:
Thanks for the update.
In the current series he was not involved in any of the Indian wins. True.
In the Sri Lanka tri series he WAS involved in the Indian wins. There goes your first allegation that Tendulkar has always failed at crucial times. :) In fact it is the other way around. When Tendulkar fails, the rest of the TEN headless chickens CREATE a crucial time. :)

In cricket every game and every player is crucial. If one player fails there are 10 players who can work out to win the match. Hope you are not pessimistic at work and at home

MR.SACHUUS, That's what I am meaning. Sachin has won fewer games with his batting with his 20 years experience. Hence, he is not the greatest as you fellows boast of him. Inspite of 450 ODI & 150 odd tests, there are only a few to tell to his contribution to Indian victory. Any player who had such influence in the team would have contributed more than Sachin.

Muralitharan,Jayasurya, Sharne Warne, Mcgrath, Richards, Greenidge, Lara, Yuvraj Singh, Sewhag etc... to name a few have individually won more matches than sachin in lesser no of matches.

but then how come sachin has maximum number of man of match awards
out of his 45 centuries in ODI.........india has won 32 of them.........more than what any player has not even scored.......thats.....................true commitement!!!
In 1989 ,when I was studying engg in UCE Burla , one of my friend Subodh asked me ,showing a illustrated weekly that you see this photo( in which Mr Gavaskar and Vengsarkar were presenting one bat to sachin tendulkar ) , do u know , who is he ? he is sachin Tendulkar, who is representing Mumbai in Ranji and who scores a century in all the matches he played and Mr Gavaskar Predicted at that time , that this boy is going to break all the records of batting in international cricket .............and same thing came true today. Hats off to SACHIN

same here... for me, watching cricket is all about sachin... today, india is cricket mad because of sachin... i do not know and do not want to think of what will happen to my cricket love when sachin retires
In 20 years Sachin could play only 159 tests, thanks to BCCI which wants more ODIs and T20s to make money! He should have scored 60-70 Test centuries during this time. Dravid, Laxman also missed because of this
