The GREAT Man, Sir Sachin Ramesh Tendulakar!
by siddhartha sehgal on Nov 15, 2009 07:22 AM  | Hide replies

I truly believe that he should be called Sir Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and nothin but Sir. The way he has entertained the world with his brilliant innings al acroos the globe is commendable to say the least. I only wish that you win the world cup in 2011 and by you I mean you and not India, sometimes the stature of a man is such that one starts wanting things for that person over and above the game or the country. I want that India should win the World Cup for you and you can add it in your CV if there is any place to do so. I have never seen you playing live in a stadium but wish to do so, if i wont be able to do that I will die an unhappy man. I hope that you keep playing cricket for atleast the next 20 years so that even my kids can see you playing live and you winning more matches for India. You are the best. Cricket will not remain the same for me once you retire I dont know whether I will watch cricket again or not.
Long Live The Legend!
Long Live the God of Cricket!
Long Live the hope of a billion People!
Long Live Sir Sachin R. Tendulkar!
Long Play the Legend!

siddhartha sehgal,

I appreciate you feeling.
But why Sir--why are so concerned about it. Instead he should be given Bharat Ratna. Calling SRT Shastri would be a batter choice.

If God ever touched a bat.....
by Fanta PiSoJa on Nov 15, 2009 07:00 AM

       .
If god ever touched a cricket bat then that would be of Schin Tendulkar's.
He is such a delight to watch.

In addition to his personal qualities whoever has watched his great innigs comes out with a feeling that this is the true wonder of the world.

This is not only the opinion of Indians but also of people around the world.

Even his opponents enjoy his game. He is like Michael Jordon of Cricket. And you are a legend when even your opponents enjoy your game.

Blessed is our generation who gets to see such a wonder.

Sachin the master blaster
by panamalai gopalakrishnan on Nov 15, 2009 06:58 AM

I have seen Sachin playing in Sharjah against Australia and in both the matches his innings were out of this world.Mind Blowing. That day Shane warne and I think it was Gillespie had no clue what hit them.In between there was a sand storm as though mother nature did not want to be left out. When the match resumed we saw another storm from Sachin's bat.I do not think Warne could ever forget this. All Indians in Dubai and Sharjah became uncontrollable after that. The beauty was in the match that followed Sachin again batted with such audacity Aussies will never forget.
I remember it was his birthday also and it appeared that he was giving himself a gift.
The irony is that we want him to do the same thing again and again and that is where our folly lies.We need to accept that he is human and he will have his own good and bad days.Unlike ours in his case good days have been more than bad days.

For People who object to Sachin being perceived as god
by LG on Nov 15, 2009 06:28 AM  | Hide replies

People like you come here to satisfy their false ego and trying to prove that they are more intelligent than the people who are actually intelligent.

If it against your relixx to call some GOD, do not call Sachin God. No problem.

you do not understand the concept of GOD in H-N-D-U (Sanatan Dharma). We believe God resides in all forms of lives. It is formless; image of GOD varies from person-person depending on his/her Bhavana. We all (souls) are part of GOD.

It is not like a Master (GOD) or slaves (human beings) kind of relationship with GOD, where GOD either punishes you or reward you. People with this kind of thinking will always find when we perceive a great soul like Sachin as god

Genious Tendulker
by Guest on Nov 15, 2009 02:56 AM  | Hide replies

Genius! Just one word explains SACHIN TENDULKAR (Genius = whiz kid, smart, intellect, intelligence, brilliance, mastermind). I have met Sachin on number of occasions. I live in New Zealand and it is relatively easy to approach our super stars. Thanks to the Mr. Ajit Wadekar (the Indian Coach) I was allowed to practice with the Indian team while they were travelling New Zeland.

I was there when Sachin was asked to open for the first time in ODI’s (Auckland). Just before entering the field, along with Jadeja, to open the innings he stopped and asked me to get a new ball. Incidentally I had a semi-new ball in my hand and Sachin asked me to through down some balls. He specially instructed me to bowl full-tosses. Jadeja curiously asked Sachin about it and the Genius replied “New Zealander’s kabhee kabhee naya bowl hawa mein chor dete hain, maine naya bowl zyada khela nahee hai naa….isiliye” He just wanted to feel the new ball on his bat!! Even though Jadeja was a regular opener then, also had a quick practice with the new ball!! To me this is just one little example of his intelligence. He prepares himself for almost any eventuality.

He is a class player every Indian to be proud of
by tamil selvan on Nov 15, 2009 01:17 AM

We are not so matured to comment about this Great Indian Icon. Great players know how good he is which will be known to all from them only after his retirement. The problem with us is that we expect him to perform more that what he is capable of. He is a class player. Don't set your standards or new definitions for a good player by Scoring 300 in test and being a match winner all the time

WHY THE FUSS ABOUT SACHINS FAILURE IN THE PAST 5 YEARS???
by rahul bajaaj on Nov 15, 2009 01:00 AM  | Hide replies

Bradman is dead. So he cannot be asked to bat again.Even, if alive he will never imagine of touching the bat even for an Autograph.
But, we can ask our sachuus JING-JING Gavaskar to play now and show his genius. He along with Ravi Shastri, will make a great pair.

Accept the fact that Tendulkar was once a good player in the 90's and certainly not now.

If perfomance at least over a period of 5 years is not the criteria, then why was Ganguly, Dravid, Kapil Dev, mohinder amarnath etc.... were dropped. They should be given still time till 2019 world cup to regain their passsssssssst glory.

Also, Ravi shastri's experience in carrying the drinks during 1983 world cup will be of immense help to Sunnnnnnnnny Gavaskar.

Rahul the Bajaj:

Good that you think a player who scores 175 runs in an ODI is beyond his peak. :)

That shows how much do you adore Sachin and expect him to score 350 to make India win. :)

Keep up the spirit!!! :)
