I have known Sachin for the past six years in my capacity as a Cricket bat maker who makes his bats for him. he is very particular about all the details, has great knowledge about the intricacies of the craft and is such a wonderful human being. he will respond to an sms or phone call almost as soon as he can. it is such a pleasure to know him and he is so kind when ever I call upon him in his home in Mumbai and always enquires about my family even through an sms. he is a jewel in the crown of India and there will be no one else quite like him. i certainly agree he is the best but how many watch game after his retirement ? i think our country has produced greatest stars in the game and certainly believe game is bigger than stars ..
