IPL cannot be a success if it is played outside INDIA. Who all would be interested in seeing local Indian players playing in there in South africa......
It is called INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE!!! It should not be played elsewhere. I know some people may argue that elections are more important and it could not be rescheduled at other times because some players are playing elsewhere BUT it is sad that BCCI could not arrange for security. It is sad that cricket is suffering because of terrorism. Moreover, I think that BCCI should have done more to persuade players who had concern about security. They could have provided more security by hiring private security company to provide sufficient security to all the players. Please feel free to reply.
The public of the Republic of India are responsible for all these mess. They are so crazy that they neither able to choose their right leader nor to respect the national heroes (from any field). Indians are becoming socially impotent as a nationhood. A large portion of the people of India are not mature enough to handle democracy.
Imagine that the plane carrying the Indian Cricket team crashed and nobody survived. Does it make any difference to India ?? Imagine a bomb explodes during a joint session of the parliament. Does it make any difference to India ?? Somebody will certainly argue that the second instance will benefit as some of the "dirty politicians" will be eradicated. Who authorizes the "dirty politicians" to rule us ?? It's we, all Indians, are responsible for our fate.
Pray for both ... this will be an eye opener for the Indians.
Don't all the participants in the IPL who are Indians have the duty to cast theor vote in the elections? Otherwise its funny to see countries fight over each other to see Palaniappan Amarnath bowl to Laxmi Ratan Shukla.
Well Done Govt. of India, Its very nice to know that, IPL to be held out of India, The same IPL, which let International play to think quick their own national game to get involved in IPL and the tournament which give revenue which is beyond thinking, and here Govt Of India thrown out IPL out of India, Good Job. Its really shame.

I hope during the politicians rally either no one turns out, or on big screen be errected at the rally on the other side, so the public having their backs at the podium, and lets see what the common man prefers.
''South Africa are also due to host national elections during the tournament in April - but appear to have provided Modi/IPL with sufficient assurances over security unlike India and the corrupt Indian political system there"
Shame on Congress government and an insult to Indians.
This is what congress and italian mafia wants make india weak unsafe like pakistan and then loot..like kathrochi's bofors scam etc.

the election procedure is very different from the one held in India.there's no need for 1000's of security personal to guard officials BTW every city in SA has a commando unit for other emergencies the police force will take care of the electons actually the election procedure is more civilized than some other countires

Mr. Anil Kumar, Is IPL a national game? The ans. is NO. Its just Mukash Ambani purchased a team, which will play a team, purchased by Vijay Mallya, and out of it they will make huge profit and a big advertisement of their franchise. So, ultimately it is a business from Cricket Industry, based upon the beautiful sensation of common people's passion over the cricket. So let me know how it will assume more importance over the general election. Unfortunately our opposition party, BJP, always took the bogus issue to retain their vote bank, and it is also one of them.
