IPL in S.A is export business of BCCI....
by Stephen Narayanan on Apr 28, 2009 10:07 AM

Mr.Sashank Manohar is a stooge set up by Sharad Pawar who quit active wheeler-dealing in Cash rich BCCI (no doubt must have extracted his pound). The real growth of BCCI came during Jagmohan Dalmia's regime when the Indian Cricket started peaking and Lalit Modi/Sharad Pawar and Sashank are reaping the rewards of someone else's efforts. And now they have exported Cricket to South Africa and backstabbed the country and cricket loving people.Huge revenue generation by ticket sale would now be split no doubt with S.A.Govt who too would profit immensely from the unexpected windfall. But God has shown who is more powerful....half the matches and important ones at that have been Washed out.....in the end when they total up...Shashank and Lalit would have brought BCCI to bankruptcy.

Huge loss to business...

Even wen the IPL is being held in Africa at present, the viewership is so high, imagine teh amount of business loss to India, wen it is being held outside.. all supporting industries.. like Hotels, Restaurants, ticket sales, beverages, Sports Apparel, Sports accessories etc. it could be a huge boost to the industry... in these grappling times of recession...

Just for there business and name
by pawan jha on Apr 12, 2009 01:12 AM

If Mr. Modi thinks that flavour of game business is much more important then country then he should think twice as this business is somehow related to the pride of our country. So if some one thinks that game could survive without taking into the concern of our country, then it is wrong. If Mr. Modi could manage such mega event in other country then he should also try to manage the schedule of matches, so that it could be adjusted with election process of India. I think in this high tech age, it matters very less to people, who just needs entertainment irrespective these things. Any how it matters a lot, every thing could not be done just on the name of game.

Shifting of IPL
by Richly Shoh on Apr 06, 2009 02:41 PM

Shifting of IPL outside India appreciated the terrorist to threatend and keep on doing their business in future for the sake of Terror Religion. Being an Indian, IPL officials and the Govt. should sit together to seek an amicable solution before surrender to the terrorist. We were laugh at by the Terrorists and the whole world. Govt., should no more be giving security to the BBCI sponsores game in future, coz, Shifting of any Cricket game from india is at the power and strong will of the young boy and immature citizen of MODI. The Govt. should frame rules and regulation to bind the organiser of any tournament to defame the country and billions indian citizens.

Cricket for money
by Richly Shoh on Apr 06, 2009 02:08 PM

Cricket is for money making, while security is life saving. It is the prime duty of the Govt. to maintain security. Shifting of IPL outside India is an act of betrayal, and an attemp to blackmail the Govt. In india thousand of spectator are watching live, How many spectator in South Africa will watched the game mostly played by the Junior and un-experiened Indian Boy.

much issue about nothing
by Asmita on Apr 06, 2009 01:21 PM

elections are a much major issue for a democracy such as India rather than a cricket tournament thriving on sponsorship nexus! am not against cricket or any other sports for that matter and am an ardent fan but as citizens of a democratic nation I think we need to prioritise our values.
