I preferred it in England. The atmosphere there is great, the wickets are sporting. Nowhere else the game gives me so much pleasure as in England.

Wrong... England will be cold and rainy in April; the condition and atmosphere will favor fast bowlers. Would you prefer a bowler dominated T20 with very few boundaries?

Security threats

It cannot be taken any lightly even in SA. Infact it will be easier for miscreants to do something worst there.
All they have to do is buy a ticket to SA, they can do so on the pretext of seeing cricket matches. Go there organise to collect some weapons, which wont be difficult in SA, and go about doing the business. The frisking, checking, wont be as careful and serious as we have in India. So organisers please think and spend some energy on security as well.

it is doisgusting attitude of BCCI and Lalit Modi to take the IPL out of India.
It is a aslap on India knowing fully well that at this juncture it is so difficult for the gvt to to provide security.
I wish they had listened to to rationality and they applied wisdom.

Manoj it is difficult for BCCI to postpone it, they can only cancel it at the best. ICC has done some planning and given them this time frame to hold IPL. The players wont be given any other window for some time after this, they will have their own international commitments to play in tests, ODI's etc. So BCCI decided to hold it away from country.

Government on knees once again against English news channels...
by Full of Joy on Mar 25, 2009 04:33 AM

Government on knees once again against English news channels...

Is India govern by Government or few English news channels....

The IPL going to be held in SA , its once again its proves that Indian Government mishandled by media and played in the hands of few media people of India.

Indian Government shd think the consequences on longer run of this decision...

Indian Government shd think out of box rater then forced them to act accrodinglingly media's wish...Government need to grow up and saves Indians and their humiliations

Its proves that Government of India have accepted that they are incapable as like Pakistan and Afghanistan and they are in line with these country. Its affect a lot on longer run on INDIAN economy as well as future plan of holding Olympic. They are already going to hold 2 major events like Commonwealth games and ICC World cup in near future.

Now we have suspect that if wht Government of India will do on 15th August , If there is terror threat...are they going to host flag in other country .???

Wht if there is Terror Threat during General Elections in India , are they going to held this election in Pakistan ??? so much wrong messages to across the world and common people of India...

They have accepted that they are incapable of everything and humiliated every Indians across the world against every non Indians...

Government should think their own rather then played in the hands and wishes of English news channels of India

Think it is a bad precedent...
by Tamil Indian on Mar 25, 2009 04:16 AM

Just for the sake of money these guys have shifted IPL out of India - I'm very sure all nations are going to ask for the same setup next year too (I hope they dont budge next year but there will be some voices for sure). If there was a way to stage IPL last year (when there was no window for IPL since it was the first edition) there should have been a way to create a window this year. May be not all elite players might have participated but hey staging in India is more important than playing all imp players.. This is my opinion
