sehwag is burden,laxman is better, free wicket to opponents ! sehwag's wicket is free ! we lost match against Srilanka although he batted at no 5 in 2nd ODI agianst srilanka chasing 257, he made 19 runs! today also flop !
Look at what Dravid has to say about Sehwag. 'He is just one innings away from coming good. Hope it comes it comes tomorrow. Otherwise we will have to wait little longer'
If Sehwag is unfir to play (due to his poor form) then why in the hell, select him in the first place and keep on hoping that one day he will definitely perform.
Why us this 'affection' not shown to VVS Laxman? Why was this 'affection' not show to Saurav Ganguly when he was a little out of form?
Does Vengsarkar have an answer for these questions?
This actually reminds one of what Mohinder Amarnath remarked about the selectors. He called them A BUNCH OF JOKERS.

Dear friends!! i think the selecters has done a blunder by picking up 2 ingured players(yuvi and irfan). We all know "langade Ghodon se race kabhi nahi jiti jati hai." We are all talking about Sehwag but i am not against him because "auron ne bhi koi bahut bada teer nahi mara hai." but atleast he is absolutely fit to play but imagin if Yuvi and Pathan couldn't recoverd on time our world cup dream will end before starting because indian team will be left with only 13 fit players.We should not forget the instance happend in South Africa when Dravid picked injured Munaf instead of any fit bowler and we lost the glourious chance of wining a TEST series in South Africa. O God!! How many times we will repeat our mistakes AGAIN!! AND AGAIN!!!! AND AGAIN!!!
Indian team is anounced and Dravid is the captain but if Dravid fails do we want 35 year old Saurav Ganguly to lead Indian team who himself said that he has 2 or 3 years left in cricket and this is his last world cup!! For god sake!! Sourav is past!! Cheer Saurav as a batsman right now so that whatever cricket left in him he could give his best.
We know the truth indian teams under the captaincy of dravid can play very well in indian pitches. Thats what happened against west indies. But the problem is they couldn't play well in foreign lands. Unfortunately the wc going to happen in windies. That time all heros will once again become zeros.

Dravid thinks he is better than Sachin and comes one down... Sachin should open innings with Ganguly or uthapa... He has scored most runs at that spot...
It drives me crazy to see Sachin come in after 15th over

Everybody know how sachin was struggling for the past 1-2 years to score runs, just because he scored some runs in the home turf does not herald for opening slot for him. That too on thw WI soil it is not so easy to score runs as an opener. In the previous two tours to WI we have seen his failures. I think you must take back your comments on Uttappa unless you are an Mumbaiker even after seeing his innings in Chennai.

agree fully. what has chaoppel done? not a single player is there in the WC squad out of the churning of his experimentations. Almost all are repeat of Wc 2003 team. Chappell is a thoroguh waste along with Dravid. How can they send a genius down the order in ODIs? After he has scored 15000 runs in it? Beleive me this is politics and the step was taken immeiately after sachin became vice-captain of the team. Dravid has to go as captain. Can't bear him anymore.
people are writing reams and reams of text about A player B player C player. fact is guys india have done well in the wc from 1992 onwards only when sachin has done well. he didn't fire in 1992 and 1999 WCs and india didn't do well. he was in great form in 1996 and 2003 WCs and indian team did well.
Evn after 16 years for tough matches on world stage India is still dependent on only one man -SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR

I agree with your comments on Dravid. When he was just a batsman and not the captain, I had a good impression of him. But nowadays he is such a pain to listen to during press conferenences.
example: "if 6 or 7 players play good then we should do well in WC" what??? hmm.. Mr.Dravid, all 11 should play at their best to even have a chance to win the WC.
example: "i hope veeru scores well in the next match (3rd SL ODI). Otherwise we will have to keep waiting until he scores a big one! ??? Mr.Dravid, how long will you and all of us have to wait for His Highness to score?? Another 10 ODIs? Is there an end in sight??
Regarding the WC team selection, I have some comments below:
Powar is unlucky. He could have been picked as a 3rd spinner in place of Agarkar or Sreesanth.
Selecting both Uthappa and Sehwag and sacrificing Laxman defies logic and ultimately could prove to be a very unwise decision.
Uthappa: He is a promising youngster who may develop into a fine opener for India but so far he played only 7 ODIs in all. Only 2 outside India and he scored 12,0. In India, he scored two impressive knocks of 70 and 86 but his other scores are 28,7. Note that neither WI nor Eng. have top notch pace attacks like SA,Aus. How do you justify selecting him for WC over Laxman who has vast ODI experience with 7 100s and 12 50s? Uthappa is a better fielder but does that alone bring him on par with Laxman or exceed him? Sure, Laxman is not an opener but we already have Tendulkar,Ganguly,Kaarthick who are capable of opening. In my opinion Laxman can open too if needed. He may not hit over the top much but has excellent technique against fast bowling and the ability to pierce the infield. Or he can bat at his customary middle order position.
Sehwag: His average in the last 10 ODIs is 15. Since he has been a failure as an opener, now they are "hiding" him in the middle order and calling him an allrounder. If he fails in the middle order what will they do next? Send him at No.10 and call him a bowler? Sehwag may have scored heavily in the past but based on his repeated failures over the past year, its a shame he is selected over Laxman.
Between Uthappa and Sehwag, I would pick Uthappa. Even Gambhir would have been a viable selection.

Well Guys have a stable mind. When we were winning against west indies, Dravid's captaincy was praised and now he is brought down to earth. When Dravid didnt give bowling to Sauvrav he was torn to pieces, now when he gave the bowling still the same comments. I think Dravid has better cricketing knowledge than you guys. How do you guys know what happened in the selection committee meeting. How do you know Dravid is playing politics?Did he come and tell you?He is the one who has groomed young players like Raina, dhoni,munaf and now uthappa and karthik to say a few. Now, the team is selected and i think you are wasting your energy shouting at the composition of the team. Any person who is having an iota of cricket knowledge would have selected the same 15 member squad. ofcourse with the exception of Anil in favour of Romesh pawar. So better start supporting our team. If you cannot, then please keep quiet rather than abusing and demoralizing the team. Thanks
