Why people are discussing so much about Ganguli. If he is trivial and non performer according to many, why he should be discussed. there are others also. They also deserve some discussion. Actually people are against Bengali community without a gratitude to what they got from Bengalis. Yes this is 60 years past and this is easily forgotten

India has not won many when ganguly scores 100 barring ZIMS, because he score 100 on flat tracks where result is not possoble and many people score runs.

I agree he is not a great infront of Sachin/Rahul in test...but he is not the one who can be replaced so easily!!!! he deserves to play 100 matches...Kudos to Ganguly..

Ganuly will invent one new type of mujra when facing aus seamers.. only way to escape unhurt for him is to declare himslef unfit which he is good at! once he ran way fearing green pitch in Nagpur test against aus!

sachin took 4 long years to score a century in ODI. but after that rest is history
jaffer is a opening batsmen and ganguly is playing in middle order..
icc rankings koi meaning nahi rakhti...job jo players khel gaya wohi important hota hai cricket mein.
mohd. yousuf is 2nd or 3rd in ICC rankings but he didnt even gets a century...

there are certain fools around who think that cricket means bouncers 6 balls an over, 90 overs a day... once he leaves a few bouncers awkward, he'll start hammerin them like hell. Gangu will show the way, how to blunt a pace attack...

Hey Mr. Varun, Looks like your cricketing knowledge is very poor. Ganguly can't play fast deliveries, can't play bouncers,can't play on-side , but still can score runs.Did you notice that his average is more abroad where there are bouncy green pitches? Do you mean that the opponent bowlers were not aware of Ganguly's weakness and that's why he could score at will? My sincere advice to yoy, please apply your brain before jumping into any conclusion against such a stalwart like Ganguly. Of course, I have doubt about your grey matter, otherwise,how can you mention the Nagpur episode!That was an issue, not related to cricket but Board politics.Understood? i want the indian team starts the series either by a win or atleast a DRAW.
even if u pick a fast bowler (pathan/ishant) this will not help. the aussies are hard to get out on their home ground.
its seen in the recent sri lanka series. even murali took only 5 to 6 wickets in 2 test. and the bast bowlers (vaas/maling/fernando/mahroof) not impressed at all.
so in the above team there are 2 fast bowler, one back up medium pacer (ganguly) and followed by the captain, to help him in the spin department there are sachin/yuvraj/sehwag.

Shakaal u can't campare Srilanka with Team India , Sl record is best in there homeground as all have but there record in abroad is worst & indian record is Average
I can't imagine for team india as win test series but they can manage a sries draw as 1-1

vaas/fernando/maling after much experience and better than zaheer/rp singh/ishant.
and as the conditions are suited to fast bowlers in aus.
and finally i am not talking abt series win or draw, its the first test. bcoz if they manage to DRAW the first test, the morale of the players will go up.
