And the same UV along with few others spoke to board about ganguly's poor fielding and how it affect over all team performance in ODIs.
Don't believe in all this conspiracy theory that you read in Media. Ganguly wasn't performing and got dropped, what's wrong? See his stats before he got dropped. the Century and fifty came against Zimbabwe..

India has never lost a est match in which Ganguly has scored a century.
First Ganguly is incapable of playing on sporting tracks, bouncy & lively tracks & he cannot even reach 50 on such pitches, as it has been correctly mentioned that he has a very bad average to be called a batsmen against the great bowlers of his time. So the question of Ganguly scoring 100 in a match which was either played on lively or sporting pitches doesnt arise. He played in Pakistan in last test and scored some two 35's in both innings and India lost. That was a sporting pitch. Then how can we forget Ganguly getting a near groin injury 10 minutes before the toss in Nagpur where there was little grass on the pitch.
So if a batsmen cannot score 50s or runs away seeing the pitch is going to assist fast bowlers, how will he score a hundred in a match which India lost????????
He got numerous chances in these 10 years, if at all he was great, just show me how many runs has he scored and what average he has against the great bowlers between 1995 to 2006, or show me how many 50s he scored against them, cause those great bowlers use to win matches for their countries.
If a batsmen is only capable of scoring 100s on flat tracks & weak bowlers, surely either the match is going to go to draw mostly or one team will win. Though chances of results on batting tracks a quite less a&it is proved from Ganguly's record, 12 drawn 100s, 3 Wins 100s.

Exactly correct. There is no point in telling that India never lost a test when Ganguly scored a century because, he could score only in dead pitches or against weak opponents so that match ended draw or Indian win. On the contrary, one should look at match winning or saving innings in difficult situations and I can recollect only 2 great Innings in his entire carrier of 100 tests. One in his debut test, where he showed way to struggling Indian team, second at Brisbane in 2003. May be we can add last test at Bangalore where we were 4 down for 60 odd runs. Even after playing 100 tests he has only 2 or 3 quality innings and yet he plays 100 test matches. That is why Ganguly by many experts is considered as an ordinary test player(in one days he has a good record).

vinod kambli scored 2 double hundreds in the 21 test that he played, he averaged 54 in those tests and yet he was dropped during the dalmiya regime so that his laadla would get in the side.
Suman Bhat- Do you know who quoated this statement and why ???
If you die hard fan of dravid, then believe saurav is a great batsman because this was quoted by dravid..
But if you do not believe in above statement, then dravid is a selfish oopurtunist who spoke such things so that dada could accomodate him into ODI team.. ha ha ha
I believe if Saurav had stepped down from the skipper's post after the 2003 World Cup, his personal record would have been far better than what it looks now.
But the born leader that he is, he never probably gave it a thought.
Moreover, the Greg Chappell episode may not have happened in Indian Cricket, after all, Saurav got Greg the job.
Let's stop abusing each other and instead take the fight to the Aussie camp. Sreesanth would be missed.

Sreesanth is the best guy to unsettle the opposition. I agree with you.

True, Ganguly played 75 innings as Captain, that half his batting lige. When he was supposed to be in his prime, he got side tracked with captaincy.Had Azaruddin not become involved in fixing, Dada would have over 55 average. No doubts about it.

ha ha.. There are always excuses of why Ganguly's isn't Great... lol
How about him looking at bay against bouncing Ball? Ohh yeah here is the excuse for that.. he is trying to make the bowler happy because he is Dada the nice guy..lmao!!
