Boo that Sehwag instead!
by R K Iyer on Mar 23, 2006 04:44 PM

Why boo Sachin? He has been doing a magnificient job for India all these years. Instead, boo that wastrel Virendra Sehwag, who always gets out cheaply when India needs him the most!

Shame on you!! If you say sachin has to retire since he was not scoring as before. Every player will go through lean patch as this and as fan we got to support him and should not Boo him, that too in his home ground( really shame on you mumbai wala's).

To put simply,'You are Insane'.

Booing Sachin

Most disgusting. One drowing knows the depth. its easier to watch and comment. Spectators should under stand the caliber and remember its a game. Lot of factors effect the performance on any particular day

show restrain in future and encourage all players of any game

amazing stuff
by vic on Mar 23, 2006 04:33 PM

I could not agree more with the writer. Lovely article. In the end I am very happy with the outcome of the series. It would have been a very sad and unjust end to the efforts of the englishmen had the Indians managed to stick it out till the end with sreesanth and yuvraj. The Indians were outplayed in every department (for ex. the catch that dismissed tendulkar) and to have, by hook or crook, managed till the end by edging the deliveries would have been a cruel day for cricket. I tip my hat off to the englishmen who, after being depleted by some of their stalwarts pulled together and gave the indians a much needed thrashing. "Team England, step back and take a bow!"

Tendulkar and Sehwag should retire from tests and one days
by kishore raval on Mar 23, 2006 04:33 PM

I fully agree with the remarks of writer that Tendulkar should be sacked and would go one step further and as in foregn country Chappel should also be sacked for not taking right decision of team composition. If Ganguly is sacked for non perfomance then what about Sachin and Sehwag. At least Ganguli has got guts (unlike Sachin and Sehwag to show dislike fof Chappel) to stand up and shout against the Coach.Sachin and Sehwag are spent force and alongwith Chappel both should be sacked from Tests and One day games.

Arvind ''Trash Talking'' Lavakare
by perl57 on Mar 23, 2006 04:29 PM

You sound more like Bishen Singh Bedi, talking whatever he likes and believing it to be right. Call Murali a chucker....
No wonder. If it is Sachin to be bashed in articles, the first name that comes up is yours. I am not in aid of sachin for failing. We are not putting up with failures of others and yes, we should not put up with his failures also. Board should have guts to dump a cricketer like Sachin. Now, coming to your article, I did not read it. Sports is an entertainment industry, and performers have to perform at their best all the time or else they better move over. Similarly are your articles also. We don't want someone to tell us what we already know. Better write something that people will fell interested reading about. Or else you will become as obsolete as Sachin's pull shot is. For, remember, I have not seen any of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket handle pressure as well as Tendulkar. I am sure you will come back for more garbage down the years saying that Pathan was never a good bowler, Yuvraj cannot play pull shot or Dravid does not have consistency. Critics will never criticize. They give a overall view. You must learn how to write it that.

winning is important than sachin or a dravid or someone else
by rayker on Mar 23, 2006 04:27 PM

we need india to win, and not be happy to treasure an individual. an individual will be happy as long as he scores centuries and keep his bank balances healthy. the board will be happy as long as the coffers are full. there is no accountability. true we need champions to look upto, but not at the cost of losing badly to second string teams. we need victories. we need india to be first. not sachins and dravids and other icons. only 2 words - india first.

abt pathan
by sundaresh on Mar 23, 2006 04:26 PM

there is no wrong in transforming pathan into an all-rounder ...he just lacks pace while bowling ..imagine if he can swing the ball in late 130k ..things will be different ...if he is not going to improve his pace ..he can very well leave his place for some other youngster ...we have many cricketers in que ...

Sachin-booers
by sandeep narvekar on Mar 23, 2006 04:25 PM

We are a nation of emotions. Anything and everything is blown out of proportion. One day Demi-Gods the next abject failures. Why does this happen, especially in our subcontinent. Those who booed are the very one's who put him on a pedestal. Sachin does not deserve this, certainly not a player who has amassed over 10,000 runs. I agree totally with Botham when he says the booers should be lynched.

This article by Lavakare is excellent and an objective analysis of the present debacle. I wish the BCCI and the players read it.

good show and we need more forthright articles like this.
