Is Indian team not Accountable???
by Vamsee Godavarthy on Apr 17, 2005 10:52 PM

Hi!

I have few things put across.
1) is Indian team not accountable w.r.t their performance???

2. Why not Laxman taken into the Team????? Though his Average in one days is high then Tendulkar, Ganguly..in the last Season????

3) Bring in Young talent into the team...

4) And for God sake....please...remove the Dirty politics from the selection commitee...

5) I believe Ganguly is a Good captain ..there is no need to make fun of his batting....Though he is not performing well now-a-days his Average is still good compared to Tendulkar...

If I continue, I am afraid there will be no end for this...I finish with this note..

CRICKET is religion in INDIA...Believe and Give due respect to the CRICKET and you what you have to do.....

need psychologist
by tejas patel on Apr 17, 2005 10:41 PM

Well after india's defeat in the last four consecutive matches, one can easily figure out that indian players doesn't need a good coach, good captain or a good player. India has all of them. Howerever, indian players need a good psychologist who help them to come out the fears and threats they themselves create.

Hats off to pakistanis
by rajesh on Apr 17, 2005 10:40 PM

hi,
First of all congrats to pakistanis for coming form two down and winning four matches in a row. What a performance! Hats off to their grit, determination, and self-belief. I was surprised to see agarkar inthe squad ahead of balaji. Agarkar is a "great allrounder", he's a bowler who can't bowl and at the same time a batsman who doesn't know to bat. He just a crap who gets selected just because he is from 'mumbai'. Draid seriously does not have the captain material in him.

Yet an other typical Indian defeat.
by Avinash on Apr 17, 2005 10:31 PM

Even our highest run scorer (Dhoni this time with 24) could not cross the average runs each pakistani batsman scored in the match. A definitive marker to diagnose our failure as a team and individually.

More irritating fact is that they always lose creating new records

Indian Cricket Team's performance.
by VILAS HEGDE on Apr 17, 2005 10:17 PM

I've always beleived that the present Cricket team is
higly over-rated and its cricketing abilities are all
media hype. We do perform as a team occasionally and expectations rise sky high. But more often than not the team's performance plunges the fans to the depthof the Pacific. We have a few good players who latter to deceive. Our much boasted line-up has never delivered consistently or cliced together. The only consistent thing about the team is our inconsistent performance. We have never displayed a professional approch to the game. In my opinion we are abunch of amateurs and rank rank seventh or eighth in the Work Cricket Standings.

droping policy should be adopted for all
by Mani on Apr 17, 2005 10:15 PM

Droping Laxman from time to time will prove to be india's biggest mistake .why it always happens to him ,when he had always done such good to india cricket.if the policy is adopted strictly for all,all on this team should be out of the team with the same problem the selectors point on him, such as dropping catches badrunning etc all have made mistake and laxman suffers for all,and we should stop supportig sachin for playing himself ,see after every 100,s he gets a cramp and gets out,but the nonsense commentators support him with hot temperature, then how are others playing after 100.kaif should sit out or bat at no3 otherwise a big waste when we have dravid.we cannot always depend on Veru ,he depends on luck all his days.captian gaguly should be given proper support and he is the best ot lead team india hope we see him back in form bcoz he win match's .all senior players should be given a shock treatment, bcoz the mass watching it are not fools.thenYuvraj seems to enjoy to much supports.

What a Fantastic Performance?!
by Vijay Kumar on Apr 17, 2005 10:09 PM

After viewing today's Indo-Pak Cricket match, i felt ashamed to be supporting the Indian team for long. Matches can be won, matches can be lost but without giving a fight, i felt ashamed. Look at the Pakistan team, they chased 315 once and they scored near 300 while chasing India's 356. Pakistan team should be appreciated for giving a fight. Indian team should learn from their counterparts on how to give a tough fight even in losing cause.

Sehwag was in form; Rahul scored well; kaif contributed his bit in last match; dhoni has contributed a little bit in the initial matches, sachin scored a high score in a match, then why the hell they all can contribute in a single match and try to reach the target of 303. If they had lost the match by 20-30 runs, we can accept, but this is unacceptable. Fearing that India will anyhow lose the series, ganguly took rest, instead of playing and taking responsibility.

Now the selection committee should shake up the team and infuse fresh blood and drop ganguly from the team, drop some of the seniors, and players like yuvraj and look for fresh faces. They should groom a youngster for taking the captaincy instead of making rahul as captain.
