Game or shame, think atleast three times
by Bhumesh on Apr 17, 2005 08:24 PM

Hi guys

Just relax! Its game so dont be panic. Its not a matter of shame but game. Actually, We expect much more than we should. everybody started to blame first ganguly, then sachin and now to dravid and sehvag. Its not a matter of blaming. Take this as a sport and think that other team also here to play and win. This time they did and last time we did the same. So plz dont be panic. One more thing. If India win a single coming series, then I know you all will be starting praising the tendulkar, ganguly rahul and sehvag (who are under most criticism or one can say abusing). Its only WE who make game so critical then everybody come under pressure. Why not we just consider a game as a game. And this criticism is nothing more then that what we (all criticisers) did after first game of the world cup. But senario just reversed after final of the world cup. Why we are so unstable. Just be calm, sporty and enjoy the cricket. Pak did well this time so LETS CONGRATs THEM, they desrved for this, but think atleast three times before blaming the individual. Love them, back them becuase they are ours and consider one thing that they are part of the system which is made by us.

disappointed totally
by amit raina on Apr 17, 2005 08:21 PM

dear sir,

i am utterly disappointed at this cowardly act of this indian team.....i watched every match and being 2-1 up and then lose 4-2, even the bangladeshies wud have shown guts or even kenyans than ours

what sort of team is this which always always always buckles under pressure

whenever theres a chase, half game is lost already bcoz of mindset of players....they spill out urine in their pants straigtaway i put it ......so when they come out to bat they know they have lost just 1 or 2 4s and get out .....i think the mindset is that get out of pressure quickly and rest will handle

believe me this is team indias approach always

sack sachin and all those shameful creatures there and chose 10 sehwag like tigers instead only hes the man with guts here and to some extent dravid but hes not a match winner also let me add this also

ganguly has already gone excellent he shud retire now and also shud sachin and later dravid

bcoz they are all selfish players and except sehwag nobody plays for team these fools play for records only

u can see when we bat 1st how they bat and whenever chasing.....lost lost

select 11 quality players who r real tigers ok

Too much shame...
by Vikas Aditya on Apr 17, 2005 08:02 PM

If I would have been an authority like many were on the Kotal ground, I would have issued following commands:

-Call up a meeting with BCCI head, team manager and indian cricket team
-Issued them a performance issue note
-If team won get them 100% of match payment and if they loose make it to 20%. If drawn 50%.
-If any batsman averaging less than 40 runs in last five matches, drop him, give somebody else chance. give somebody else chance. give the person another chance and in next 5 matches if he doesn't averages 40 runs, send him to Ranji matches.
- If a bolwer takes less than 3 wickets in last five matches, drop him give somebody else chance.
-If a captain wins less than 70% matches in a year, change the captain.
-If two consecutive series have been lost, fire the team manager.
-If the BCCI is not able to manage the rules, fire BCCI chief.

These people make enough money to keep themselves happy without understanding the responsibilities. After all it's a job not just a game. If they can shame India in front of foreign chief, they should have been send to prison, in fact. It's total carelessness, irresponsible behaviour and must be reprimand. It can't be taken for granted.

the ferocious indian tigers- only on sreen not on field
by ravs on Apr 17, 2005 08:02 PM

hi! folks
firstly i would like to cnratulate inzzy and his team for doing so damn well on the field. now lets talk about the indian tigers who have lost their ferociousness on the field but continue to display it n screen -the ads etc.let's not treat them as super heros 'cause they have taken the popularity and our support to much for granted. their match fee should be cut down t a large extent and for some time the sponsors should just ignore them .let's learn frm the australian team- if you can't perform you should be out of the team and a chance be given to a young talent. be it a ganguly or a sachin , we don't want them for name sake . play for pride, play for your cuntry-stop playing for making or breaking records. sit dwn and intrspect . i am not so ashamed that we lost t pak but i am ashamed that we lost so badly.

hope we're down but not out.

Time for Tendulkar to Retire/Relax
by suri on Apr 17, 2005 08:01 PM

I think Tendulkar is no longer dependable. It would be
good if he announces his retirement or else board should
remove him.

By and large India was never never good at chasing runs.
I don't understand why Indian cricket board is not learning lessions from Australia. It is the team where
it won't continues failures from any one.
I think it is high time, board should revamp the entire team.

Sir,
In our country there are 11 wise men playing for personal gain and not for India. The fire in the belly has been quenched by unscruplous well wishers. It is we who are stupid enough to be conned by them all the time. The BCCI and the players are creaming us and blowing our expectations everytime. We do know it is a game but to capitulate is shameful.

concentrate on cricket first
by Diwakar on Apr 17, 2005 07:51 PM

Let Indian cricketers realise that their demand in advertisings is only because being a Cricket player for INDIA . But for this there are far more better models than these 11 faces for advertising. So it'll be better that they perform in the field first and then look for ads.
