Something was cooking but this explain what.

I was surprised at BCCI's "go-slow" on a decision as obvious as the renewal of John Wrights term with the Indian team. Obviously the machinations of the BCCI have become fairly transparent and I must commend Faisal on an excellent article. Needless to say, one could gather was that something was cooking ! Would I be wrong if I suggested that what matters is the performance of the Indian team and not whether we are coached by an Indian.

Obviosuly everyone wants to be associated with a successful team and former Indian players will want to take a crack at the prized job. I have nothing against them but this is not the time to disturb a winning combination - that is - if the BCCI's true objective is to serve the Indian cause.

Dalmiya is flying his kite again

I am quiet annoyed and infact feel its ridiculous reading Kapil's statement. Common folks, Wright deserves the credit for bringing in a lot of positive changes in India team ever since he took over, players vouvh fo it and the results speak for itself. Its a joy to watch the Indian team after a long time and everyone around me feels the same.

Infact,John Wright, alongwith physical trainer Adrian Le Roux should be given long term contracts till end of 2005 and then assessed thereafter and if they do well then extend it till "World cup 2007".

I get the feeling that Mr.Dalmiya and his coterie and flying this "Swadeshi Coach" Kite in public forum and get the reactions to it. Stop this nonsense Mr.Dalmiya and all the so called former greats. Lets get on with some serious cricket we have an Australian tour coming and it requires as good a preparation as a World Cup.

Good job Faisal and Prem- Keep up the good work. We need these articles to stop our BCCI making stupid decisions.Cheeers Shravan
