by bipin bipinchandra on Sep 25, 2010 10:44 AM  | Hide replies

We should Infact boycott these Games.
Not because we are against such extragavanza but because of the people like Kalmadi and other congressmen who are looking for opportunity to loot. they never thing about development in true sense.

Enough of these boycotts & other negativity. Simply look at the face of Delhi today it doesn't look like delhi anymore, it looks so clean & so beautiful. Which country in the entire world gave an apptt worth 1.5 crore to sportspersons for staying?? no doubt there have been a lot of issues with CWG but now i believe is the time to look into the positivities attached

Sir for your kind information , Delhi as such gets huge amounts of funds from the central govt. just because it is capital of India.
Those funds should have got you what you want and are seeing today.

Now you have spent an additional few thousand crores at cost of thousands of poor Indians and justifying it and saying that this is positive ??

Wake up if you dont want to get kicked by the aam aadmi from real India.

No Infrastructure Development without UP, BIHAR
by anuradhakumari on Sep 25, 2010 08:32 AM  | Hide replies

To regain INDIA's lost pride and glory, PATNA should be made venue of next event, games etc. (if world give us a chance)........

UP and Bihar People (popularly referred as BHAIYAs in some aprts of this Great Nation) will leave no stone unturn to make any event a GRAND SUCCESS!!!!!!!

BIHAR and UP occupy ancient pious place in HINDU Religion. The present UP is home of many HINDU Gods and Goddesses and BIHAR is great Land of Gautam Buddha and Emperor Ashok.....

Present day/ era also, people from these regions are very hard working.... though they are often targeted by some people/ society due to envy..............

No DEVELOPMENT WORK is complete without active participation of UP, BIHAR Engineers, CONTRACTORS and WORKERS!

For a robust growth, WE NEED THEM or else become/ risk a outsourcing country

---------
What I mean to say that we in INDIA never repent on our lack of prfessionalism, lethargic work atmosphere, discuss how to make INDIA as a whole --- a great and strong nation. A country which emphesises quality utmost but WASTE our TIME in useless kicking of some poor people (of some ethnic, language group) to get some votes, discussing a matter least significant for the benefit of Common INDIANs

Time is running! Let's wake up.....
JAI HIND

People..Please face the reality..and don't blame the media
by DarthVader on Sep 25, 2010 07:28 AM  | Hide replies

Naysayers and those who are in very deep denial - I humbly beseech you to take note of this, accept the bitter truth and the criticisms and start acting to mitigate these. Only then will true improvement happen. The facts are there for everyone to see (no matter how much you don't like to see it or hear it from media or anyone else) - India is perceived as a dirty, third world country, unable to even host a simple international event.

I daresay, the facts on the ground speak for themselves. When China is ready a year in advance of the actual date for the Asian Games, so was Sydney for the 2000 olympics, as is London for the 2012 and even Scotland for the 2014 commonwealth games. But you may argue "India is a developing country"...precisely the point..isn't it??

You are totally wrong. Media is fully to blame.
The westerners always complain; is nothing new. Do you know they made a big fuss of the pollution in Beijing. The US contigent talked of staying Korea and flying down to Beijing for the matches.
Just yesterday our TT coach has said the standards are much better than what they get in other games.
We Indians are the most self discriminating people and the media are the worst form of armchair commentators.
Mark my words: India will be a step down only because of our media.

I am completely agree with your statement and your positive views without being over-sensitive about the country.

If anyone really pride over india then you must try to see the negatives with positives because then only can do the things to make it better so better to accept the real facts and try to analyse the criticisms.
