Nadar hits the bulls eye!
by jyothish koodalil on Oct 15, 2010 07:44 PM  | Hide replies

Quoting Nadar..

"A pity he left out Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and other members of the Nehru dynasty from his speech" and even Priyankas children ? Kalmadi might get sacked due to the serious omissions.. Not because of the tangle he got our country into..

I think its not just Kalmadi, but his patrons needs to be sacked as well..!

It was this same Kalmadi as the chief of IOC humiliated our Prime Minister during the Beijing Olympics and instead got Sonia the invitation for the Olympics, as it is customary that the Olymic Assoc in the respective countries were asked to chose their respective delegates for the Olympics.

Did anyone notice Rahul's face during the opening and closing ceremonies?

Let history wisely judge these characters!

Perhaps the Govt. of India has learnt a lesson the hard way !
by Common Man on Oct 15, 2010 07:41 PM

If we truly believe that the Govt of India was kept in the dark about the (lack of) progress at the CWG venues etc., it has learnt a lesson. Also, it builds a case for a Committee appointed by the Govt. of India for all such mega events in future, where the nation's pride is at stake. It could be similar to a Parliamentary Committee on various other important matters. The Govt's active involvement at the highest level, esp. the PMO, would also ensure greater coordination between the various depts & agencies. Perhaps, this realization dawned on the PMO rather late, when the PM appointed the GoM headed by Mr. Jaipal Reddy just before the Games. Why didn't it do this earlier ?
The Delhi CM has tried to cash in on the euphoria after the Closing Ceremony, by stating that Delhi is ready to host Olympics !! Hopefully, GoI will be more prudent the next time around.

Only Indians deserve praises....
by siva kumar on Oct 15, 2010 07:40 PM  | Hide replies

The news is that the Aussie atheletes indulged in vandalism after India won the second cricket test at Bangalore and shouted slogans against Tendulkar for scoring double century and making India win..
This idiot wants that the Aussie players should be praised..What a joke.

The aussies are always winning more medals in CWG..NOthing special about it .
The Indians scoring more medals deserve praises because they have won the medals despite having Kalmadis, Gills etc,. type of people at the helm of sports affairs in the country,

Definitely he will not. If he had any semblance of shame left in him, he would have resigned when he was sidelined in CWG.

Why this herd-mentality ?
by george thomas on Oct 15, 2010 07:06 PM  | Hide replies

GOI (MS Gill) was responsible for building Sports facilities.

Delhi Govt (PWD) was responsible for building all infrastructure .. like roads, bridges, parking lots, etc.

Why blame Kalmadi for these ? ? ?

Why this herd-mentality ?

Why he is promoting atheletics? Isn't it a crime. What will happen to bookies? Have you ever spared a thought for bookies? I agree Dixit, gill etc should also be prosecuted. How a snake was found? How can a mosquito be found in a tropical country? Why a bed collapsed? These are all indicators of major corruption in all these departments.

Kalmadi did well
by george thomas on Oct 15, 2010 07:01 PM

Jai Kalmadi ..

Three cheers for you ! ! !

MS GIll tried to pull you down ..

Mani Shankar Aiyar also tried his nonsense ..

Arnab Goswami did his bit(shit) ..

You showed them exactly how to run a successful CWG ..

Stadiums were built by Union Sports Ministry and NOT handed over to CWG on time .. yet u got it ready ..

Infrastructure of Delhi (roads, bridges) not ready on time .. yet u got them to work fine ..

Mani Shankar Aiyar ran away to U.K. ! ! !

Three cheers to you again ! ! !
