anand is best so he shd be given first. anand has bring world championship times and sachin cant even one time, even shobi bring once. anand has revolutionalised chess in india.. he has created an era... before anand, we were behind in chess like today we are in football.. anand has changed india... sachin is just another over hyped cricketer.. sachin is comparable to the like of pille, bhutia but never to the class of Anand.. Anand plays a game played in more than 150 countries

dude, exclusive interview only refers to the fact that this particular interview was exclusively for Rediff and not excerpts from a Press Conference where the entire media bombard him with questions. Whether Anand spoke to other media outlets or not is immaterial here. Anyway, kudos to the World Champion! Anand makes us proud as Indians.
I remember in 2007 both Team India (Cricket) and V.Anand won the World championship together (T20 WC). But Team India was given a grand arousal. There was a celebration parade in Marine drive of Mumbai. But no one knew when V.Anand entered India even. Ever since then Team India has displayed pathetic performance, crashing out of T20 WC in the very first round. But V.Anand has went on to win the World Chess Championship each year. This I am writing is for the knowledge of fellow Indians.
For me Chess is not a sport. It is a intellectual game. It is individual brilliance of V.Anand more than saying he is a product of India and all. He deserves Bharat Ratna

Finally this is proved that Chess is best intellectual game than Cricket. Chess requires intelligence and focus but cricket has lost everything the focus, determination, dedication and passion to do best for the country.

YOU get educated you dumb ass. Read Expressbuuzz and chessbase article on him and you will see what Anand has done for Indian chess. A one-man phenomenon who has done more for a sport than anyone in India has for years to come. He deserves the highest honor the country has to offer. Why should it be reserved only for the people you describe?? What's the logic?

to a certain extent yes the names you mentioned made melodies but rahman too had his moments...he belongs to the techno hip genre, both the category of composers are totally distinct

Also Abdul kalam from TN, Nobel prize winner chemistry last yr tamilian & so many big achievers. Nothing new in that. One US resarch firm published recently that Tamilian are most intelligent community after Isralili in entire world. Even Bill gates told that south Indian are smartest people in world after chinese. BTW I am north indian from Bihar but do agree that south Indian/Maharshtrian/Gujaratis are much ahead of north Indian in every aspect of life. Northys are better only in fighting, arrigance, showoff, self praising, Indiscipline, Unprofessionalism & politics. Though exceptions are there everwhere
