Kramnik has promised to fight to the end. Kramnik would have won the battle today… it is unlikely he could perform a miracle to win three in a raw and continue on the tie brake.
Well, now had to wait until Wednesday for Anand to wind up.

ya, Kramink playd like the old Kramnik we know of.
Kasparov variation was playd today. and ya Re1 was a new move which got Anand into thinking.
Kramink is showing signs of returning to form from the last match, so next match wud be a gud duel to look out for with Anand playing wd White and Kramink trying to win.
15 min back he resigned on the 29th move. From waht i could see, Kramnik had a bit of positional advantage but nothing Anand couldn't have tried defending, he was running out of time though! Hope he'll manage it tomorrow...

yes he lost todays game.
and no way, Kramnik had a gr8 advantage, He will get an extra pawn, he has a great passed pawn, and White's knight is stranded!
On top of that he had a gr8 time advantage, but more than that Kramnik had a clear advantage and would have won today unless he blunders which is rare in this level.
When Anand burst into the scenes of international chess, people watching at the speed of his play, also nicknamed him 'Lightning Kid'. Playing against top GMs he was taking only half the time of his opponents to make the moves. In game 9, Anand had just 27 mins to make the next 20 moves (moves 21 to 40)to make it to the time control. It was at this stage that his lightning speed game play came handy. Even a draw in today's match number 10, will take his score to 6.5 required to win the world chess championship.
Oh! Its about time you let us on this relatively unimportant piece of news, eh?
all the cricket drama and stuff are more important i guess.
anywys, I guess Kramnik had the best chance in this series so far to win a game. He had a technical positional advantage as well as one extra pawn.
It would have been better in the chessfan's viewpoint if Kramnik would have won yesterdays match, it would have kept the championship alive. Would have been a blast if Anand won the championship right in the last game by winning the last duel.
Anand has got excellent seconds and much better prepared than Kramnik. He has nullified 90% of Kramniks preparations by not playing his usual e4 move which he plays mostly. Instead he went for the Queens pawn opening d4 at which although he isnt the best but caught Kramnik off guard since Kramnik had spent all his effort in his preparations in countering Anand in the e4 opening. Also Kramnik is very good at that, he has won or drawn most of the games playing as black against e4.
So rather than playing his own strong point, Anand has playd something which his opponent is not expecting and isnt tht much well prepared.
Also I feel Kramnik is not the same player he was when he beat Kasparov, he looks so passive now. He should have converted this draw to a win in thie last game to justify his fame.
But Anand showed how resilient he coiuld be in this 9th game! A very well earned draw! Go for it Vishy!
Well Anand is definitely now Vishwanath in the Chess Board. The russians have paid a tribute to him and now it is for the world to reckon him as the best in chess for now. WHAT A MAN IS HE , WHO CAN CATAPULT THE CHESS MAP OF ENTIRE INDIA BY HIS SHEER DOMINANCE IN THE GAME. SO MANY PEOPLE IN INDIA HAVE TAKEN UPTO CHESS AND DURING REMARKABLE THINGS ASWELL.
