Vishy is a champion by default. There are no good chess players these days, so he is lording over mediocre players. He could never defeat any brilliant chess player like Gary Kasparov! Kasparov used to treat Anand like a baby and defeat him real fast. Now that Kasparov retired due to boredom (he had no good players who could match him), Mr Anand is lording over. Who cares about this mediocre achievement? Yannaa Saar?!

Kasparov did not retire out of boredom - he lost the world crown to Kramnik whom Anand is hammering at present. Keep going Vishy, we Indians are proud of you.

Dear Friend, Anand has beaten Kasparov many times during 1995-1999 era. Just go back see the records. Moreover, chess is not a boring game rather an interesting. Its pity that instead of appreciating an Indian who is going to be at the helm of an event u rather chose to criticize. Anand is great and India too is great. Yr comments are equal to anti-natinal acts.

One should remember that Kasparov was at his peak and Anand was maturing to be the great player he is now in the 1995-1999 period that the statistic is based on. A fair comparison would be how Anand now (or from 2000 ) would fare against Kasparov of 1999. The only point of comparison would be how both fared against Kramnik at his peak. Then it is fairly obvious that their games when both are at their peak would be really close.
Also to Zinda Dil, Oye Oye tasion, bahut bol raha yaar tu to, woh bhi angrzi me! Chup Chupke idli kha raha hai kya tu??

Yes i completely agree with Raghu. i think VISHY ANAND is the real GEM of INDIA..People always forget that we have Sachin Tendulkar's in other games also.U HAVE MAKE US REAL PROUD VISHY...Keep Going..

i pity ur ignorance. once, kasparov himself said if anand had born in russia, he wud have been better than me. who has asked kasparov to stop playing? anand has given open challenge to kasparov. its kasparov who is running away frm chess to politics. and for ur info, in current scenario ther r players like carlsen who r the future fischer.. so chess is getting more toughher these days...
