I think kramnik made a mistake in move 32, he should have played qb6 instead of g3, what say?

No he isnt. g3 is whites move. Kramnik is playing Black.

Blacks 32nd move was Kh8.
and Kh8 is the correct move else he cant take the pawn with his Rook, since Bh7 (disclosure) gets white the Rook for his Bishop. So he needed to move his King to safety.

Anand, a Champion by Default!
by Zinda Dil on Oct 27, 2008 11:26 AM  | Hide replies

Vishy is a champion by default. There are no good chess players these days, so he is lording over mediocre players. He could never defeat any brilliant chess player like Gary Kasparov! Kasparov used to treat Anand like a baby and defeat him real fast. Now that Kasparov retired due to boredom (he had no good players who could match him), Mr Anand is lording over. Who cares about this mediocre achievement? When will another Bobby Fisher or Kasparov arrive on the chess scene to make it interesting again.

No one is champion by default in any games. I dont deny Kasparov and Karpov Fhiseretc wre good players. But that doesnot mean Anand is lording over Mediocre players. New talents are not easy to cope with, fresh bloods are more equiped. Only brilliant players can hold on. Now is Anand alone who is able to do that. Hats off to Anand.

When Anand wins the standard is mediocre but when some foreign players wins then the standards are very high. What's your experience in Chess? Have you ever played the game? You speak as if you are better than Kasparov and Company. You say Who cares about this mediocre achievement? Please note we do not need guys like you here. Get lost with our compliments.

Though I don't agree with Zinda Dil's comments. But everyone has right to express his views. That is democratic and best way. We should only try to tell opponents logically, why they r wrong, instead of saying "get lost".

Thanks for your comments. Please try to achieve even one hundredth of what he has achieved. Mind you, Anand has achieved so much inspite of lack of support from any quarter in India. Inspite of settling down in Spain, he insists on using Indian tricolour whenever he plays. True Indian sportsperson. We are proud of you Vishy.

Yr comments r not in good taste. Current World champion in any game is decided on the basis of competing players. Yes, if u talk about all time greats, then different yardstick is to b applied, as told by u.

Zinda Dil needs to get three things right. One, only those who themselves excel can brand the sucsess of others as mediocre. If Zinda Dil is Kaspy's User Id on rediff, I give it to him, else he ought to stay put in his true place - the doghouse of rabble rousers. In each sport, there are greats at any time. Roger Federer's feats do not dim those of Bjon Borg. Carl Lewis and Jesse Owens are both athletic greats in their own right. Vishwanath Anand is the best today - no amount of haranguing can take that away from him. Three, while winning is crucial, the divide between good and great sportsmen is often more than the count of wins. Bobby Fischer won but squabbled and quarreled himself out of reckoning. Kasparov and Karpov won but never won themselves accolades for their behaviour. The entire Russian Establishment is what the K's have carried behind them. In the case of Anand, he achieved inspite of and not because of the Indian establishment because in our country sports persons get support because they have WON a medal and not beause they have the potential to WIN a medal.

Hey Zinda dil, i wonder if u know this : Anand will soon become(may be today) who has been a champion of the game in all possible different formats : rapid, blitz, tournament and match-play !!! may be at bobby's time or tal's time, rapid was not in its full flow but it WAS in kasparov's time for sure.. so why is kaspy not the world rapid champion?? simply because no one can think as fast as anand !!!! and hence the title lightning kid.. now i consider a guy a real champion if he can PLAY the game and win , irrespective of the format.. he never complained about the format like the russians.. he just played and he won and if he lost, accepted the loss and congratulated the winners..and for your views that anand could never beat kasparov : take this : kramnik himself says in one of his interviews to chessabase that "anand has been right at the top 1-3 for more than fifteen years..but the domination kasparov had over anand cant just be explained in chess terms,,,,,,,there was something else to it,, lot of off-board techniques taught to kaspy in the russian botvinik(or some other) school of chess" (may not be the exact words but the meaning is no different).. my friend, one quality kramnik has and anand doesn't is the ability to not pay attention to off board tactics of the opponent.. this is the reason why kramnik beat kaspy in match play and anand couldn't...and today my friend, ANAND is routing KRAMNIK..the same kramnik who said, i cant wait to play and who beat kasparov!!!

anand for me is the greatest ever in the world of chess.. of course, only if an opponent plays on-board!! only complaint i have against anand is that he is too soft and too humble for guys like kasparov and this is what has cost him the match against kaspy.. i mean this guy anand drew first blood against kaspy at the WTC match but after that was demoralized by garry's aggressive gestures and just couldn't continue and lost....but ok.. for me, he is the only real un-complaining, ALL-FORMAT, gentleman champion of world chess ever....

Among the contemporary chess players, Anand and Kramnik are the two plyers who are rated much above the rest. Kasparov favors Kramnik while his rival favors Anand. It is not right to conclude that Anand is the greatest ever in world chess.

sorry mr.ghosh, didn't see your reply..
ok, are you giving your opinion, or trying to make a statement by saying : "It is not right to conclude that Anand is the greatest ever in world chess".. if it is a statement , then, who are you? a chess expert? have analysed many top games ??? if kramnik is your pick, then let it be but what's happening now is: as i said, a routing and not even a match.. now dont tell me that big-vlad hasn't prepared for this match at all..please.. enough of this dung... current fact is that : anand is thrashing and thwarting kramnik's chess-play...accept it..
if it is just your opinion like mine, i respect it... yours is yours and my opinion is mine...
