The scrib's question was direct and pointed. But it was put to a person who is conscious of his image and money. Naturally, he ducked the question and mouthed homilies. Shah Rukh will not get involved in hockey unless he is sure of the returns (in any form and preferably in money). Of course, had he said that he would try his best, Indian hockey would have got some helping hand as he has great brand value.

Read my post properly. I have already told what Shah Rukh has to do. People like him should not play it safe. They already motivate many. Let it be in the right direction.
The first & the foremost task is to kick out the old hag known as KPS Gill who is holding on to the chair shamelessly for the last 14 years and producing negative results year after year.
Secondly, merge hockey and cricket boards under the leadership of an efficient guy. Indian hockey is afflicted with poverty as far as buying essential items like astroturf is concerned but not doling out pay and privileges to the staff including its president. Indian Cricket can certainly help the hockey team come up from doldrums and regain the past glory.

Your first point is valid, they must throw this so called IRON Man into iron world and allow some professional to take over IHF and conduct business professionally. Indian govt now needs to look at future and support its national game. Looking at Mani Shankar Iyer statement i think we are asking too much, remove this man from this ministry bring some one who shows some commitment to the ministry.

Are baba, do you want to destroy Indian Cricket without trace under the leadership the old man Gill? Please refrain from even thinking such things.

Kps jo bhi sports join karega, woh sport ka satyanash ho jayega. Keep away this sardarji from cricket, tenis, carom, chess, football also from childs games like gulli danda, goti
Time is the greatest healer of all sorrows. Just don't get depress guys. Just try hard and U will be on TOP one day. And at the same time COACH should not step down at this moment. He should motivate the players. Best of luck. Seby Fernandes, Goa.
For any good tradition to be carried on there has to be a smooth transition from one generation to the next. The last time that India won consistently at the International level was forty five years ago. That could well be the same as three generations given that the playing time for good players is likely to be around fifteen years. The team players of today have never had any personal experience of success. To expect them to succeed by reminding them of our victories of so long ago is patently wrong.
