mr.carvalho, when cricket team won the 20-20 tournament u were crying like an injured dog saying that hockey team did not get the kind of rewards and salaries that indian cricket players get.

u also compared ur asia cup victory to indian team's 20-20 victory. now do u realise that beating the world is much more difficult than beating one continent which in this case is asia.

hope u and ur boys will remember this tight slap on ur face and hope u and dhanrajpillay will not come on national television and crib about hockey player salaries and infrastructure and all that.

first win matches, then talk about infrastructure and salaries.

moreover, national sport should be changed from hockey to cricket much like we will be changing our national animal from tiger to buffalo in the near future

oh c'mon guys.. remember the kind of harassment cricket players had when they had early exit to world cup... for hockey it hasn't been ten percent of this... so its high risk and high gain.. they lose more and they gain more.. wats wrng in it

Guptaji, aisa isliye hai kyaunki kisi ko hockey ki padi hi nahi hai. Koi farak nahi padta hai logo ko ki hum hockey mein jeete ya haarein. Agar hockey bhi popular ho jaye toh unke haar aur jeet se logo ko zarur farak padega. Toh pehle hockey ko masses tak pahuchane ki zarurat hai.

How do you forget that Indian team won the prestigious Asia Cup defeating the mighty Koreans 7-3 in the final, Carvalho was the coach.

This is what Carvalho had said on one of the news channels "It gives me immense pleasure to see Indian cricket team winning 20-20 world cup. It is a wonderful achievement in Indian sport and the boys have done incredible job."

He further said," However, one hand the Corporates, Media and Govt are showering praise on cricket team, hockey team is being ignored. Have the boys of hockey team have done a sin by winning Asia cup hockey? Is is not a national achievement?"

Do not know how cricket lovers took it like a criticism.
