For REXBERRY - Indian Hockey fan
by RKT on Jan 15, 2008 10:25 PM

For your information Rajiv Mishra had a small knee injury and he was not supported by IHF for treatment. He accepted job at railways and got treatment. He played domestic hockey for railways and won them for railways, buy he was not given a chance in PHL and Indian Team. Railways became champions twice due to his pace and skill....PRECIOUS GEMS LIKE RAJIV MISHRA ARE BORN ONCE...BUT FOOLS AND IDIOTS SITTING IN INDIAN HICKEY FEDERATION NEVER VALUED THEM

Not only Hocky, look at the suffering of talanted footballers and bodybuilders. It makes no differance how dedicated they are, bottom line is same for everyone...

Indian Public responsible !
by RKT on Jan 15, 2008 10:18 PM  | Hide replies

We Indians are responsible for killing hockey. When some 11 men in blue got thrashed in 2007 world cup, we all wept. But 2007 itself our boys won Asian Chamipoship and showed remarkable hockey in Azlan Shah nobody, no generalist, no news channel covered the victories and celebrated. No public to greet our heroes at airport. We like to waste 8-10 hour in cricket but no body discuss and support few minuets on lovely game of Hockey. The corporates of India see no money in Hockey so no sponsers. I belong to Lucknow. JUST SOMEBODY COME AND WATCH YOUNGSTERS PLAY AND PRACTICE HOCKEY AT ILL MANAGED K. D. SINGH BABU STADIUM (I WILL BE HAPPY TO SEE HOW MANY US KNOW K D SINGH BABU ?). I GUARANTEE THAT LUCKNOW (AWADH) TEAM WILL GIVE A RUN FOR LIFE TO MANY INTERNATIONAL TEAMS. BUT NO TAKERS. MY 3.5 YEAR OLD SON LOVES HOCKEY AND HE WATCH THEM PLAY. BY THE MERE LOOKS OF MY SON I COULD SEE HE HAS PASSION FOR HOCKEY. HE EVEN BOUGHT A KIDS HOCKY AND RUN AROUND IN HOUSE WITH HIS STICK. BUT ON WHAT BASIS I SUPPORT HIM AND PERSUADE....AFTER ALL LUCKNOW HAS GIVEN SO MANY GREATS OF HOCKEY LIKE KDS BABU, MD. SHAHID, ASHOK KUMAR....OUR GREAT DADDA (MAJOR DHYANCHAND NOT SAURAV GANGULY) PLAYED HERE....HOCKEY IS IN GENES OF LUCKNOW....

SHAME ON GILL
by sanjeev sharma on Jan 15, 2008 10:02 PM

Dear Gill sir, we respect you for wiping out terrorist from punjab but please dont wipe out hockey as our national game. please bring the honor back. Viren is right in his decision. if it a decision between running and india pride i am sure most would choose to run home properly.

PM ..... r u listening or wiping madam's utensils?

Bye bye hockey
by rishi kumar saraf on Jan 15, 2008 09:45 PM

Thanks to the IHF.
People leave their careers to be cricketers or run after a cricket career. Where as ace players leave the national game for a corporate career because they know they will be better off by following a corporate career not their dream.

good decision taken with his mind
by Ashok Krishnan on Jan 15, 2008 09:39 PM

it would be an extremely difficult decision but has proved that barring cricket no other game in india can help an individual grow financially or otherwise so it is good decision.
