How is it that every time it is the Leanders (father or son) who have these outbursts in the media? Why is the father in the middle of this when it is non of his buisness? Well Mahesh Bhupati is an established international player. Just because you think there is a problem when he is around does not mean he is not going to be around. Get used to it.

This Bhupathi boy was discovered by Leander in US playing college level matches. Leander brought him into the national team and then made him his doubles partner in the international tennis circuit. Rest is history. Mahesh owes his fame, and whatever came with that, to Leander, largely. Before 2007 very few were aware of Rohan's existence in the tennis circuit. And, Prakash...., well, that 'Amritraj' sirname is not enough to get him in the team. He is not even a shadow of his famous father.
Now these three have teamed up against their mentor.
Over the years Leander has stood for India and his contribution to game in India is unparallel. Leander has always put country's interests above his own. Mr. Bhupathi you better stop politicsing the game. Mr. Amritraj first deserve then desire.....

Mr Amritraj is nothing but a Faltoo guy with his father's (vijay amritraj) moneyed backing.
Leander is totally dedicated himself to India and for the pride of India. all indians are proud of leander pease, who the hell this amritraj is, who knows him he do not get chanse outside india & come back here just to get some recognision. Mr. Bhupati please dont try to play dirty games of politics in tennis, dont spoile the name of India just because you dont like Leander, your company is the agent for the tennis carrier of Sania and other player so this is a kind request not to use thes players for your enimity and spoile the game and name of the company. Mr. Bhupati dont be KUPATI OR VILLIANPATI to india and the indian tennis. Leader has given his complet life to tennis and to the India and he has given India on the stage of Tennis. WE ARE REQUESTING MR. BHUPATI NOT TO PLAY DIRTY GAME AND DONT USE THE PLAYER WHO ARE ASSIGNED WIHT HIS COMPANY. PLEASE MR. BHUPATI DONT SHOW THE UGLY AND BLACK SIDE OF YOU. JUST THINK ABOUT THE COUNTRY AND COME OPENLY AND ASK OPENLY THAT YOU WANT THE CAPTIANSHIP OF THE INDIAN TENNIS TEAM SO YOUR COMPANYS BUSINESS WILL FLORISH. THINK ABOUT THE COUNTRY AND YOU ARE KNOWN OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY AS AN INDIAN
Its Mahesh Bhuapthi who is selfish and always creates problems. He should stay out of the Indian team and rather concentrate on his private clubs. There also he plays politics. Remember guys, how he asked Sania not to play in a tournament because his personal interests were not being met there. He knows how to influence people and create problems.
Leander Paes if a great Player and his contribution to the game is enormous. He told the truth. The Amritraj son's are just useless, they r into this game due to their fathers influence and not by the real talent. Leanded Paes ur right Keep it UP!!!
Dear Leander Do remeber that all of India is behind you. Every one knows what sort of a person is Mahesh Bhupathi who keeps his self interest high above the nation. He is only a doubles player who is no match for you in Singles and Doubles. As for Amritraj's are concerned Vijay Amritraj, an Indian feeling like an American does'nt has it in him to criticize you. He made his son play for India for name as he is no good to be considered even for their University teams. As far as Boppanna is concerned just forget him, he is an idiot who is getting carried away after playing along side Sania Mirza and he feels himself to be the best. But I can say at this age also you cam beat him in straight sets and even Ramesh Krishnan can also defeat him at this age. Kudos to a sports person who has always put his country above every thing.

I think you need to think over your answer. Mahesh may not be as good as Leander in terms of court covering. But his services are far better than Paes in terms of First service percentage.
Problems occurs from both sides. Leave apart Mahesh, talk about other players. They are not kids to go about complaining against Leander. How much do we know whats going on inside.
So I believe we should better be quiet rather than questioning the intergrity of a player like Mahesh.

leander has been a great sportsman for india and nobody is taking that away from him. but the fact that he is repeatedly having issues with his colleagues is also not something that can be ignored. if one player in the team is having a problem, fire him. but if all the team players are having a problem, fire the coach....no pun intended!!! also i just wnat to add that hailing leander is one thing, but it is unnecessary and immature to be calling those who oppose him idiots and not Indian...hopefully the tennis fraternity in india will handle this matter in a more professional and mature manner than you have in your comments above!

Deepakar and Kavita...i feel u people r not right in terms of the offcourt issues...can any of you tell me why Bhupati has not participated in Olympics or any other major tournament where India is in consideration..not an indiviual..Leander has won a bronze in Atlanta that is more than any other mixed doubles grand slam of Bhupati..so plz consider ur comments...and as far as off court Leander is consider..Bhupati big mouth has always created the problem...Leander is the one who had done something great in Davis cup before Bhupati...do u remeber beating Goran Ivansivic..Mahesh cant do that
