Instaed of buying some cash rich club and increase his already millions profit, he could have invested some into Indian football, where there's alarming shortage of money. And this guy was voted Indias icon in 2005. ! Great to know such patriots exist

wat does a business has to do with patriotism.
People with no money have alot of patriotism and blame the businessman who is generating so many jobs in the country.

chor yaar. tu khud kya football khelta hai? let govt make infrastructure. indians instead of watching 3hrs movie and buying tickets of game let them start playing. Atleast these corporate guys r making money. always foreigners came and invested and took money from india. now these guys will bring money from other countries. this investment is not charity, it is a profitable venture.

yup, definately he is doing it for his own business only.. dont expect him to do charity unless he see profits..but definately it help Indian soccer as he may open NFC football academies in India and it may open door for indian players to get traind in new castle facilities...HOPEFULLY :) i cross my fingers. :)

Mr Ambani, is a businessman and he wants to make money and then be successfull on the pitch. if i was him, he should buy Liverpool FC, they are the most successfull club in the UK, with a great history, the biggest indian fan base here in the UK. and i hope Mr ambani,(if and when he buys a EPL club), gives the indians hope here in the Uk and the world, to become a pro football. there are are talented indian footballers in the world, who can become pro footballers, but are not given the chance or been released by clubs after a trial(s) because of there colour. about time a EPL club is owned by a Asian/indian businessman. I hope Mr ambani buys the right club 1st and then all the staff at the club are asian. this will stick 2 fingers up to the FA, scouts, people in power with football here in the UK and then there will be nothing stopping talented asian footballers playing in the EPL, with the help of Mr ambani. this will have a domino effect on football in indian football. i hope more asian businessmen start buying/supporting clubs in indian and here in the UK.

from the recent news,
its look like he is less smarter than his elder brother. the main goal of the business has to be capital preservation while trying to grow. but this guy spending money like never seen money before.
he has a deal with clooney, jim kerry's production house. clooney in his life never make a hit movie on his own. his production has much worse record.
another reports, he is courting steven spielberg. SS started dreamworks in 1992 but the first movie comes out in 1997 AMISTEAD,a flop.at last they have to sold out to Paramount. there is no doubt SS is bankable but he is VERY EXPENSIVE. there is a article in NYTIMES about that.

it is better idea to spend money on some party with them instead of buying this things in millions.

U must have done some MBA degree. Who told you capital preservation is main goal? There is no rule of business. Rules are made for non-entrepreneurs like managers, etc. Entrepreneurs run on acumen and the output is either success or failure but their failure is also success as they have tried rather than calculating the risks and not doing anything. He laid out fibre optic cable across Indian cities which is not in use as Indian internet is too slow and mobile internet is not even 3G or 3.5G so guys like u will start calculating what ur BSchool has taught. Anil is a guy who sees beyond horizon and so far he is successful. Who u are to comment on what he sd do? It might be his passion too and let him spend. Do something positive and sometime try to come out of labour(job) mentality and think for a while as an entrepreneur even though it is tough bcoz it is a mindset.

A businessman buys a football club for making profits and not for social welfare. All this talk of Asian footballers not getting chance because of their colour is crap. They are simply not good enough. There are several black footballers playing in EPL. Just because a club owner is Asian, he cannot just put any player in his team. He should have the consent of the manager, the players and the fans. Any wrong decision by the owner will prove disastrous and he will end up suffering heavy losses.

Instead of buying a team which has got a name and he is reviving them from debts. He can encourage the hockey and football team in INDIA. I am sure if he does, then there will be lot of encouragement from INDIAN across the world.

you said it yourself..no business person would invest if there is no return..and believe me no sports organisation also can run and succeed without definite business intelligence behind it..one can run an org on the mercy of donnors just by passsion for few years but nobody would invest if there is no return of money..look around the globally developed sporting clubs in any sport, everywhere money plays the role...

Bebarshi,

Thanks for reply.. Well, we do forsee a future in this industry. Just ask this question to yourself..
Does India have a strong organized local leagues matches, like other developed countries? And believe me, all these local college leagues in US are minting money like hell.

Our idea is not to mint money but to make India better in all sports. But if an investor wants, he can surely make a great investment.

Currently we are looking for partners (people who are equally passionate about Indian sports as we are) from all over India. If anyone finds it interesting, please do visit IndiaKhelo.com

Dear Prime minister ....
India At least is a super power in SAAARC region....( At least indians shuld start thinking in that direction ) ......But the tiny nations like nepal / Bangladesh / pakistan are becoming headeache to our great power ......
Lakhs of Bangla deshis , Pakistanis , Napalis ( Gorkhaaas ) are infiltrating indian borders every day....But All the BSF , CRPF , Corrupt ARMY officers are busy minting money and giving unuthorised citizenship to this infiltrators and thus the population of india is growing like any thing ......
Congrats that you being the super power in SAAARC have returned back to country with your chest vide full of Pride and Dignity.....
Shame on you and your brilliant Sonia Madam are unable to identify the real threat to our country i.e: - Islamic terrorism....
Its shame ful that all the political parties are busy in Critising each other over Note for Vote Crime ....But at the same time our Army is busy fighting the Infiltrators from Pakistan..No one is bothered about talking against this events and strengthening our ARMY .....Politicains are only BHADWAAS who are busy minting money with a strong nexus with greedy busineesmen....
The future of AKHAND HINDUSTAN is in danger ....
No one is bothered ...I m jealous of the NRI's ( non residential indians) as they are staying outside the country and progressing ...but brothers at the same time your Matrubhoomi is bleeding due to the greeedy politicians ......
Every body is just greed

dude, don't worry now everyone in india knows the true story of politicians (it was not the case 7-8 years back). This is all because now many indians are getting educated and the corrupt politicians would be more in check in future.
about NRIs..don't feel that they are away from the country ..though they are progressing, but they are the ones who are making the countrymen progress too. There are thousands of such stories. NRIs are participating in every issue regarding economy that country needs. for eg. the current Nuclear Deal wouldn't have been possible without NRIs. Believe me it's not an easy task to gain such a deal and it is not one man's effort and not of indian govt alone.

lastly, keep up the good spirit that you have, keep seeing the dreams of AKHAND BHARAT and keep raising your voice. Together we will bring good leaders in the society, who care more of the nation than votes. So, keep dreaming and pass on your dreams to others who are sleeping, after all these leaders are chosen by us only.

Om Om Om, India will be super power one day!!! Lets work day and night to make it.
