Hanthi ker pair key neche aaney key baad chuhon ko pata chalega. Their conspiracies won't succeed. When it comes to business with china they are silent on human rights. It is just to spoil Olympics. Tibet is now hurt more itself by falling in the traps of outsiders who hate to see a successful Olympics in a Developing nations. Those Indian living abroad only realised how much they are discriminated due to colour of thier skin. First this injustice should stop then only they can help Tibet in thier cause.

Hey, Just don't be over smart...how long does it take to process your green card?
RE:RE:Wait any see China sub ko set ker dega
by anirban paul on Apr 08, 2008 05:01 AM
yeah, it takes long to process the green card but canadian PR comes in 6 months :). But the wait for green card is rule based not because they are overtly against India. They give 50000 lottery based Green cards to the countries poorer than India.
Of course, the fastest Green card happens in India - if you are an Islamic infiltrator from Bangladesh the CPIM government in WB or the Congress Govt in Assam would give you the Ration card in 2 days if not 2 hrs. If you are a Hindoo refugee from bangladesh , then of course you may never get a ration card or any help from any Indian party.
When the CIA first got involved in Tibet in the mid-1950s, the country was still the Shangri La of popular imagination, shrouded in myth and mystery, and the world at large had no inkling that it had recently been invaded by Communist China.
Surrounded by impenetrable mountains, the Tibetans had long discouraged the advances of the outside world, choosing instead to maintain their medieval lifestyle and to occupy themselves with spiritual matters. The Communist Chinese invasion of 1949 violently changed that. Within a few years, the fiercely traditional and religious Tibetans were thrust headlong into the realities of the modern world. Communist reforms were imposed on them and the very essence of their lives %u2013 their religion %u2013 was threatened. Soon, nomads, traders, farmers and monks joined forces and took up arms against the invaders but the resistance that emerged was hopelessly ill-equipped to fight the battle-hardened forces of the People's Liberation Army. Tibet's isolationist policies proved to be her downfall; not a single nation supported her claim to sovereignty.
But help did come from an unexpected quarter. The guerrillas had heard of America, a faraway country that figured prominently in Communist propaganda as the great enemy of the people. Now, this very nation, in the guise of the CIA, offered to support their struggle. Before long, the Tibetans, most of whom had never seen an airplane or a motor car or even a white person, suddenly found themselves draw

In the years that followed, Tibet suffered the full brunt of the Chinese takeover. An estimated 1.2 million Tibetans %u2013 a sixth of the population %u2013 died as a direct result of the occupation. Over 6,000 ancient monasteries, temples and historic sites were looted and destroyed and the practice of Buddhism, the very basis of Tibetan existence, was forbidden for many years and even today is tightly controlled. Tibet's vast reserves of untouched natural resources have been %u2013 and continue to be %u2013 indiscriminately exploited, sparking an environmental crisis that has had consequences throughout Asia. The hitherto peaceful nation was transformed into a giant military base bristling with some of China%u2019s most significant nuclear missile facilities. Most recently, new Chinese policies are encouraging a mass influx of immigrants from the mainland into Tibet, threatening, once and for all, to destroy Tibet's identity as a distinct ethnic and cultural entity.
Although the CIA never believed that the Tibetan guerrillas could recover their country's independence, it armed, financed and helped to train the Tibetan resistance from 1957 to 1968. Several groups of Tibetans were trained at Camp Hale, a top secret, purpose-built facility in the Colorado Rockies. Between 1957 and 1961, eight separate teams of guerrillas were parachuted back into Tibet to link up with existing partisan groups and a number of arms drops were made to them. These missions mostly ended in tragedy; the majority was kill

Throughout the sixties, the guerrillas launched raids into Tibet from their base in Nepal, attacking military convoys along the strategic Sinkiang-Tibet highway. On one occasion, they recovered military documents that provided Western intelligence with its first inkling of the failure of the Great Leap Forward in China.
As Chinese control over Tibet tightened and America's larger policies began to change, the CIA increasingly saw its Tibetan protégés as little more than an intelligence gathering unit and began to discourage them from making armed incursions inside Tibet. In 1969, the CIA abruptly announced to the resistance leaders that it would no longer support their movement and that all aid would be phased out over a three-year period. Shortly afterwards, in 1971, the US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger made his secret mission to China and set into motion the normalization of relations between the two countries. The Tibetans had simply fitted into America's larger policy of destabilizing or overthrowing Communist regimes and when that no longer applied to China, they were abandoned.
When orders finally came to withdraw, several of the CIA's field officers were caught by surprise as well. They never forgave their superiors for what they believed to be the betrayal of their Tibetan allies. These men still recall their involvement in Tibet with a mixture of pride and regret.

The organization survived for a few more years but the end finally came in 1974 when the Nepalese Government, acting under pressure from China, sent in its army to close down the guerrilla base. As the Tibetans prepared for one final showdown, a taped message arrived from the Dalai Lama calling on them to surrender peacefully. One by one, grizzled veterans of the twenty-year campaign against the Chinese laid down their arms in tears; a few committed suicide rather than accept defeat. Tibet's armed struggle for independence had come to an ignominious close.
There are 10000 of Tibetans waiting for the TORCH. It will be an interesting to see the torch come in DELHI. Wake up, Tibetans. Grab the torch and take it to DHARAMSALA. ha ha ha....... It belongs to you.

Dear Mukund, Hopefully we are not aware under what circumstances or senior leaders might have taken the decision and how chinese are interpreting the India's decision.
Even today China is BLEEDING INDIA by DUMPING ITS JUNK in India at THROW AWAY PRICES.
The Chinese officials were worried about Indian security during torch running session, even decided to send people for security.
After looking at what happened in London and Paris, it's a big slap on their face. They dared to point at Inidan security(must not have dreamt/dared when it comes to UK/France), now look China who is having the last laugh.
The same French people who discriminates again North Africans and other immigrants are talking about the Human rights situaution in Tibet at China. If this is not hypocrasy what it is the. Aamir khan rightly said if Human rights is the criteria to hold Olympics then there are very little countries in the world who will be eligible to host it .(USA, India, UK all have some or the other has tried to suppress human Rights)

doesnt matter. we have freedom of speech, freedom of press. when compared to china, our cops and military will look like angels! :P
RE:Look who is Shouting
by rajesh on Apr 08, 2008 06:28 AM
aamir khan said China should have never been given olympics and he said when he runs he will pray for tibet and tibetans. France discrimination is nothing compared to bloody blood bath of China. Its an evil state where peaceful protestors of its own country are massacred in masses. North Africans were outsiders in france so resentment is possible among some french people but most accepts immigrants, but china is murdering its own people in masses.

aamir khan said china should have never been given the olympics and when he runs he will run for tibet and pray for tibet. Neta mafia dont cook up phrases. Please try to compare some discrimination in west with tortures, mass murders, tanks and guns fired on own people. I rather prefer discrimination of west over bloody brutality of China. Mafia u r a mafia
Olympics is not the right forum to be protesting for a free Tibet....it wud be better to protest at a G8 or UN summit. Asia is rarely provided a chance by the west to hold olympics...look at the status of Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh....
We shud work on unifying countries instead of forming smaller nations....Germany is a gud example....common currency idea of Europe has enabled it to promote tourism...resulting in the Euro becoming stronger than the dollar.
Most of this free tibet stuff is sponsored by America...even after Americans leave Iraq they will split it into Kurds and Iraqis so that they keep fighting each other.
Look at our own country....we will have to free Kashmir, Punjab for sikhs....and so on....is this the right direction????
RE:Let China hold the Olympics in Peace

we will not have to free kashmir. you are a chinese in disguise, trying to threaten india. lmfao. your agenda can be seen so easily!
we dont have to free punjab either ? it was a misguided pakistan who desperately wanted some trouble in punjab.
kashmir has been open, unlike china! kashmiri people can protest any time they want! they have free internet, freedom of speech, freedom of expression, a legal channel in the government to air their views.
but china affords no freedom to the tibetans, nor their own people who suffer from mental torture. no freedom of speech, no press, heck they cant have 2 babies without punishment! what kind of a government is that!
yo! chinky dude under the moniker of naresh... go back from where you came from!

why do we always blame west? now look at chattisgarh and madhya pradesh, bihar and jharkhand, uttaranchal and up?? dont tell me now west has something to do with it. Now dont blame India losing territories to pakistan and china to west. Someday when China takes Sikkim and Arunachal , will u blame the west again. Now dont tell me China causing unrest in Northeast is because of west. Naresh pehley duniya choro apney desh ke upar jo afat hai usko socho, afat jiska nam china hai, hamara sar key upar char kar tandav kar raha hai.
