If someone is willing to create a fund for her training for next Olympics, I am willing to contribute. I don't trust any govt./NGO/industry to help her. We should contribute personally, and I will do my bit. The money will be given directly to Dipa, and she can use it as she wants. It can also serve as a reward for her FIGHT and determination which is an inspiration to the MEN of India too.

India can flourish in sports (or for that matter in all fields) as soon as political interference ends in that particular field. I am of the opinion that all sports bodies must be cleaned immediately and all political interference in these bodies must be stopped. Only sports personalities should hold any position in the sports bodies. Proper by-laws must be prepared to prevent corruption in these bodies and selection must be based on performance (and not region/caste/creed/reference, etc.) if this happens, we can certainly become one of the best performers in the world in this field; else this pathetic condition would continue
We need not worry about Dipa's financial future. Our state govt. has already absorbed her as a state govt. employee in the rank of Asstt. Director. She will get all sorts of assistance from the people of our state.

If that is factually done, Great. Otherwise we have seen only announcement. Tell your Govt to show letter of appointment to channels and deliver with in 15 days.
Its very difficult to win a medal in the toughest games and we don't even remember the 2nd and 3rd place winners leave aside the atheletes who gave their all but couldn't etched their names on medals. Dipa performed outstandingly without proper infrastructure and financial support. For me she is standout performer for India in this Olympics. She took that sport which is having one of the least support in terms of viewership and thus sponsorship. She performed the most difficult routine Produnova which if not performed correctly can result in paralysis or even death. Its now for the government to take notice of her performance and support her financially, finding sponsors, providing good job to her.
With just three months practice you achieved a lot. As far as India is concerned you have won more than a medal. You have won hearts. Given the time you will make our country even prouder. Kudos to your coach too.
I wish she should have been given Bronze medal, for the risk she took among the 8 qualifiers and for the spirit of the game. This would have given big boost to Gymnastics in India. If 2 athletes who collided and then selected for finals in 200m, similarly let us all pressurize IOC for a Bronze for Dipa
