That caste has become obsolete now. Caste-ism is a reality in india and runs in their blood of majority of indians. If you don\'t believe go to any indian village and see in your own eyes. We should first abolish caste before abolishing reservations. I have proposal to abolish caste and at the same time get reservation for everybody. First give reservation to SC/ST 20%. No quota for OBCs and others. Give 30% to those who marries a SC/ST.This way we can offer reservation to upper castes and SC/STs as well as abolish the caste system in 2-3 generations. In fact we should discourage same caste marriages and give incentive to intercaste marriages where one person is from SC/ST.
fine.. if well earning person is also going to avail reservation.. let him give away 50 % of his assets or savings there has to be some parity first of all.. india is going backwards with demands like these and as someone rightly said.. all dalits r not poor and all Brahmins are not rich

This is not about who is rich or who is poor. this is based on social injustice facing in the name of caste. Even a rich guy in lower caste is sufferer of the social system and a poor guy in higher caste is enjoying his social status.
My question to you my friend, Why only speaking about reservation & why not about caste system???
MGV has articulated a very practical formulation based on economic strength of the family.30% for below Rs 2 Lacs & 19% for 2-4 Lacs range! Lets debate this on merit. If a Christian,Muslim,Sikh, Jain,and all balance Indians in above category will get the benefit automatically. What is wrong in it? Time has come or slowly coming to have serious review of reservation issues.

I think 99% of indian population will have a certificate stating that their income is below 2 Lacs.
Cast based system is the lifeline of the Indian politics. You do away with it and no one would win a majority except people who support the reservation system. Reservation in education and job has become a menace , and people do love it. When we say that , “we do not have cast based discrimination in the country “ but still follow what the British have left behind then we are not progressing. Divide and rule is the policy which is old. People who are backward, schedule cast and schedule tribes have come up. Many have settled in the US and other European countries. We will be left far behind the developed and the developing countries as all the cream layer would be supporting the development of other countries. Where are we heading ?
3,000 years enjoyed the powerful society by all means in the shades of Caste reservations provided by Manu smruthi were speaking today about Abolish of Castes but not for abolishing Caste-ism in India.
You earned crores of properties & educational rights from years and killed the peoples rights to live in society for thousands of Years. Today 99% industrialists, Landloards, Money Bulls were uppercaste. Even today reports says caste based harassment, power centres still going on. An US bases university published a report during June 2015 , which was published in India Express states that 85% still practice Untouchability.
Setting a side all facts on the name of caste, speaking about only reservations is illmentality of people who cooking thier own food in the name caste like Hardik Patel.
If anybody seriously want to do some thing for Indian n people. fight for caste first.

My friend, you are looking at people like a few who have made money. Have you ever seen people belong to SC/SC/BC settled over seas and still want reservations here. Please check the stats for your self.

What that mean? which norms say who is econamically backward? After providing 3000 years chance to improve him with caste reservations if he still poor means he is not TALENT or MERIT wht u calls it.
Again, he u allot a cutoff for econamically backward in this country, 90% SC & 99% ST will be comes under backward, only a few percentage below 10% will be Uppercaste.

Just rubbish! Reservation still there because of congress and other caste based politicians playing game for the sake of votes.
By the way you are referring 3000 years history who has seen it and how the present generations are answerable to. This type of attitude further distances the communities.
Caste based reservation is absolutely irrelevant in todays perspective. Its fact! Its fact, if not heeded timely revolution is not far off, as we seen a sample of Patel agitation.

No this is only a vote bank and nothing else. If you want to get rid of this please vote only two national parties and ask them rule without any castisms. regional parties is more dangerous to this country.

there also some loop holes because give 100 rupees you will get certificate below poverty. this is india.
The old bandicoot has got it all wrong. Hardik Patel is saying if you don't give me reservation then ban reservation. He is not clamoring for a ban on reservations. Also his comments on the present PM's success are laughable.
When he is himself a proud OBC...he speaks laud and clear that he is OBC to attar act OBC votes...He feels pain of Mahadalit for their votes...forget about common people or smaller politician..a PM nurturing caste devision
