I think, Mr Vaidya is the one of his kind (associated with politics but vocal against the current reservation system), otherwise because of caste based politics, all selfish politicians either become tight-lipped or they favor the idiotic caste based reservation system through which mostly rich and powerful are being benefited since generations.We need more leaders like Mr Vaidya if we want to get rid of caste based reservations.
reservations for a longer period will be a deterrent to the the development of the society and the nation.The only way is to restrict reservations for one generation or to a maximum of two generations .if the parent has already availed the reservation,then why should the child go through the process once again??

now non brahamin tamils realized they killed so many brahamin youths 30 yrs back, and these groups are working in infosys,coganizant.that is why all tamil brahamins are going to U.S, State and central not cooperating
when it comes to any benefits indians prefer own caste,own religion etc etc etc.when it come to quota indian talk of merit. when it comes to own benefits they never says no.when it comes to others benefits indians shout merit..whats this nonsense???? we are selfish very selfish people..very mean ..we never look into ourselves than others benefits..this is shameless.we never talk of removing poverty,garbage,gender gap,illiteracy etc topics. we are time wasters nothing else.no new discoveries are made here except growing pollution and population and adopting fake western fashion

Yes we need to change it dude. Lets contribute to nation building and do our bit. May be more than that.
poverty in india is due to the abolition of right to property.if everyone will have property for agricylture then there will be no unemployment,poors,poverty etc problems.everyone will get food.divide the lands equally among all unemployed youth..

but what will happen when an unemployed person become employed, ....then should he give back the property or not ?? It will not work..
Only Merit should be the criterion - Whether Upper, Middle or Lower caste.
Caste, Beliefs, Worship, Tradition, Rituals and Religion must be followed only at Home, Outside Home In all other spheres only Merit and Performance should be given weightage irrespective of background or status.
You cannot say that Poverty is responsible for poor performance of the given task.

Well if India has a certain standard for reservation then Tamilnadu has a different for reservation. It is much above the rest of the country. Here we play politics with reservation system and provide education and jobs to people who do not deserve based on cast politics. We play on people's sentiments and deprive the deserving candidates. We have different bench marking where we stand beyond what the government of India has provided. Hence remove all this drama and provide quality in all jobs and education systems.

Yes ! In Tamilnadu also a Gounder or Devar would prefer to support their own clan person or people who belong to their village or town. This is not there with the Brahmins here. Most of the Brahmins fight among them self to put down the other. Iyer and Iyengars to give some example have been so radically divided that they cannot stand the presence of the other.
i agree with Mr. M G Vaidya. the reservation should be on the basis of economic status of family. on the caste base reservation the rich are going to richest and poor are going to be poorest. so it should be abolish the caste base reservation.
Cast based system is here to stay. Refer Tamilnadu and you would see that Maximum reservation is available here. Hence the OBC Quota is almost non existent. Those students who do not get admission go to arts colleges and when they need work they go to private sectors. Hence the private sectors are benefited. Politics of cast based on vote banks may stay for long and deter the development of the country. Hence we loose the much needed quality.
Reservation in India on caste basis has deteriorated the standard across all fields. All brains are migrating to USA, hence US says " Hey India ! keep increasing reservations. You take the RESERVED, we will take your DESERVED"
