Definition of criminality
by chris on Aug 28, 2014 09:49 PM

Travesty of justice or law enforcement system that with such views the seriousness of 'criminal politicians' would become blurred. In this manner hardly any politician would be left off the cliff. Every democratic political protest would invite action may culminate into police registering case, thus all the participants would become criminals if this view is taken seriously and may happen that people not to appear 'criminal' won't protest any unlawful action of governments.

By the by the investigation pending against opposition MP's MLA's and IAS IPS and State Administrative officers also need to be shown to public. In Karnataka the Lokaukta catching every week half a dozen officials working in Engineering Health Revenue Education, Village Panchayats.but unless Govt clears to take them to court no action can be taken and they are freely left.Even suspended officers in the rank of Chief Engineers,Managing directors, and other officers have been reinstated like if one officer is suspended if he meets higher officers some way he would be reinstated and no action will be taken.Like hundreds have been left free with the rampat of corruption in states.Corruption has spread like cancer. If the congress govt in centre which protected sarva shri Kalmadi,Raja and many cabinet ministers ministers have falsely booed against then opposition BJP leaders. Therefore it is needless to quote the ruling party members like this which with bias motive.

sheer hypocrisy
by Hirendra Chatterjee on Aug 28, 2014 09:31 PM  | Hide replies

Most of the cases registered against the ministers are because of participation in protests, dharnas, demonstrations etc. I wonder how democracy can survive without such activities. On the other hand the UPS had thieves and scoundrals who indulged in rampant corruption. The Supreme Court is behaving like God giving sermons. It is against the Modi government because of the Judicial appointments bill passed by parliament recently. The CJ has turned down Modi's request for speedy trial of MPs and MLAs facing court cases. Can this be called anything else but hypocrisy on the part of a judiciary which things very highly of itself.

cj did not turn down simply he only said a way shud b found 4 speedy disposal of all criminal cases & not just against mps, if anyone applies their logical mind they will accept it bcoz in our nation there many cases filed against innocent pple & dey r tortured very badly by our old dogmatic fashioned, outdated laws.

Mischievous article, based on false propoganda
by Jackie on Aug 28, 2014 07:57 PM

In India, it is fashionable to file cases and FIRs against others. Often, a key element of political vendetta. See how the corrupt, anti-national Sonja led UPAgovt chased the current PM, and ultimately the man was found to have no real case by as high a court as SC and an SC appointed, SC monitored SIT. In India, the judiciary is more corrupt, but the collegium system allows them to be above law. And some like BalaK ex-CJI court favors of the then Govt to get post-retirement sinecures. So mere filing of cases has no meaning. Yes, if convicted, they should be and are debarred just like Laloo. But then the corrupt judiciary keeps extending bail to such convicted felons and even he is a free man merely because he has filed an appeal. And guess what - this man may stay free for the rest of his life due to a lack of time-bound appeal process - so now his appeal is in HC and then he will again go to the SC, where an equally corrupt bench may chose to free him. So we need an accountable judiciary much more than politicans. For the politicians are atleast accountable to the people who elect them. But what about the super corrupt judiciary. Why does the judiciary no declare their assets - movable and non-movable, like the contesting candidates do ?? Also, politicians can be thrown out by the electorate in the elections, but the judiciary cannot ! So this article is incorrect for perpetrating the belief that politicians are all at fault, as if the judiciary is spotless.

by peaceman on Aug 28, 2014 07:30 PM

why Indians are electing crinals as their leaders to lead the country?
why rules and constitution is allowing criminals to contest in elections?
why the PM is chosing this people to his cabinet?
We can't see the punishment to criminal leaders.. why?
These questions are staying forever
people need to change in their minds to stop all this matters.. only by people not by one Leader..
