The song is indeed being sung on ceremonial occasions as well as being played by military bands during march-pasts.

Iqbal is the Spiritual father of Pakistan. This song Sare Jahase is the National Song of Pakistan. It describes Hindustan not Bharat. Hindustan was the Mughal India. It is highly insulting for the Hindus as this song says "Ai Abe Ganga, do you remember when our caravans had arrived on your banks"
We consider Ganga as the most sacred river our mother too. Iqbal directly insulted Ganga and praised the Caravans of the Mussalman invaders of Arab, Turks, Mongols, Iranians, Afghans.
It is a great shame for any Hindu to sing this song of Iqbal.

krunal gajjar, india chose to be a democratic and secular nation in 1947 so huge Muslim population support and vote in favour of India, now it is a democratic duty and responsibility of government of India to ensure freedom of religion and respect of religion of every faith including Muslims in India.

Freedom of Religion does not mean that Mussalmans have the right to insult National Song. They should leave India. Was there any referendum in 1947 whether Mussalmans would be allowed to stay in India, when they have not allowed Hindu-Sikh-Buddhists to stay in Pakistan?
There have been whispers that Jana Gana Mana was written in praise of King George V,who coincidentally was visiting India for the Historic"Delhi Durbar" at about the time that Gurudev Tagore wrote the song.It is also rumoured that Nehruji chose it over Vande Mataram because it is more amenable to orchestral rendering.In contrast,Vande Mataram,whatever the context in which it was written praises the motherland.All religions,Islam included revere motherhood and if ones nation is compared to mother ,I don't see what the problem is for saluting her or even bowing to her. In thelight of this the act of the BSP MP is one of pure insenstivity and ignorance

This man was hardly known as MP and he has to create a drama to get popular, thus he acted accordingly. They are very few % of muslim population in India, who will prefer to feed on Indian wealth and food but will prefer to die for Pakistan anyday

You never read the National Anthem, which from the third stanza is the adoration of Sri Krishna, who is described as the eternal chariot rider creating with the wheels stars and planet, centuries and decades. That cannot be the description of any human Kong; that was the opinion of Tagore himself. It was sung on the 3rd day of the Congress Session. On the first day, among many proposals there was also a proposal to welcome the Prince of Wales. That does not make that song as adoration of the King of England or the Prince of Wales, as Tagore himself wrote.
