SECULAR
by Sensor Technologies on May 15, 2013 07:36 AM  | Hide replies

We are a secular country. We cannot force people to do things that are against the tenets of one's religion. SO better change our country to HINDU nation or just keep quiet. All acts and deeds inside and outside parliament not bring to the status of house ?

Secularism does not mean equal treatment of all religions. read any English dictionary. Secularism means separation of the Government from religions.
Thus, if Muslims do not like the rule of France that no body can use Borkha they should not go to France; this is the opinion of the French Government, which is also a Secular country, which does not allow turban or cross either.
if the Muslims have objections towards National Song, National Anthem and even National Flag, they should leave India.

National Flag of India is religious too; it shows Hinduism in Suffron, Wheels as Buddhism.
National Anthem is also religious as from the third stanza it is the adoration of Sri Krishna.

Is that mean because of the Mussalmans we have to discard our National Flag and National Anthem???

Bose,Though I donot endorse their stand on Vande, yet not agree with your arguments as well. They donot have any reservation againstHyndu figures or symbols or rites, their contention is b0wing before something other thanAllah. There is nothing wrong in saluting. In fact all countries in middle east and else where salute their flag and figures. No one contends "JanaGanaMana' also.So hastly conclusions are not well founded. I saw your previous mails on SareJahan and found them lacking inKnowledge if not logic

The same I want to ask you, if secularism means separation of the Government from religions. Why this song has a verse according one religion and against the other religion? It should not have any verse that is religious at all. I also ask those who are against secularism and want one religion to rule to leave India that is a secular country. Jai Hind

Are you a Pakistani? The language of the National Song is in Sanskrit. It is a great shame for you that you do not understand Sanskrit.

If its important to his constituency, they can vote him not. Forcing people to sing is not the law of the land.

No body is asking him to sing, but he cannot go away from the parliament hall; this is illegal for any MPs.

It is illegal to show disrespect to the National Flag, National Song and National Anthem.
Thus this Mussalman MP must be forced to resign.
