no reservation at all, abolish all casts and ask people to keep their religion and faith to themselves
give absolutly free school and college free medicines for chronic issues but no reservations because it creates lazy people who will develope begger mentality and will always want to be dependant to gain from peoples sympathy or would expliot political interests of various parties

Don't know about your state but in my state the buisness community is obc. they control most of the money. the policians are all bc/obc/sc/st. forward caste is most of the middle and upper middle class, coolies, janitors etc. some forward castes migrating abroad because they cannot find local jobs. so how do you reach your conclusion?
I dont agree with what Nandy said. It was wrong, period. But he is entitled to his views just like anyone else. We are country where politicians can use worlds like "Hindu" terror or derogatory remarks against women. No action is taken against them, why book Nandy for his outburst?
Reservation should be basis on finacial background. The govt class 1,2 and 3 catagary employee who had already got benefit of resrvation during two generation and now financialy strong should be considerd as a General catagory. and after that they should give reservation every alternet Generation in their family. It would effect to increase their capability in our sociaty
The fact of the matter there higher the caste more number of honest people there are. and conversely a caste becomes higher caste depending on how much people from other castes think are honest in that caste.. This is a fact.. Look at all the OBC castes they were all Kshtriya castes at one point .. They became more corrupt and got downgraded.
Mr. Nandy Please collect the data of Post holder by Upper Caste at every level and the No. of SC/ST and OBC on similar levels. Hope this data will give you enough picture of discrimination and You will be able to come better research outcome. (hope to See Your Work next Year).
Then having done so try to find the corruption by Upper caste and SC/ST/OBC. I hope your this research will give you enough picture that who is looting nation for last 20000 years.

Please note most upper class were beggars and lived on donations whereas so called low caste were labours not to their full capacities.Question of looting does not arise.
